Adding More Horsepower E92 M3 Underdrive Pulley Kit Install and Review E90 E93 BMW

DIY Guide power pulley kit install on E92/E93 M3. I also give my driving impressions for the Macht Schnell underdrive pulley and serpentine drive belt kit on the S65 V8 M3. This is usually the last performance mod to do since the gains are so small. My review and verdict is the pulleys and belts are worth it for maximizing horsepower and throttle response. The driving experience is more enjoyable with the quicker acceleration throughout the rev range.

Great video, wanted to see your technique to clip in the hoses on the bottom of the fan, that may be the hardest part of the job. I want to avoid taking the undertray off.

Thanks for the comment! It's a bit tricky but I just pre positioned the hoses and clips best I could to line them up. No tricks besides removing the undertray which takes extra time. Good luck!

Hey nice video, noticed you launch at about 3500rpm mine revs to over 6000rpm when it launches! Have you had the launch control rev limit changed? Any idea what the stock l/c rpm set is? Love your videos, made me get an e93 M3 just a shame the weather here in the uk ain’t quite as good as California! 😂

Thanks for the comment! Mine launches at 3500 rpm due to the GTS DCT tune. The normal stock launch RPM is 5500 RPM. As far as I know, this cannot be changed unless you talk to your tuner, mine is BPM sport. Glad you got an e93 M3! Enjoy!

What other mods from standard do you have on the engine and exhaust ?? I have removed Primary CATs and have an X Pipe with CATs and resonators and a BPM stage 2 tune so this was to be my next upgrade. Thanks Jp

We have bpm sport tune stage two with e85 flex fuel kit, pulleys, test pipes, 2nd cat delete, OEM muffler mod, and AFE carbon intake at the time of this video.

I got my belts from turner sport: Main belt - 11287837898 AC belt - 6DPK1105 Cost ~$37 Everything been put on now and tested, steering feels wonderful! Thank you Sal for the video guide, I’ll post up my version of the belt replacement on YT sometime soon lol. ❤

Try routing the belt differently. There are two different ways depending on the model year of your car.

That’s the downside of the e93s but great job hittin 4.3 sec, still got my mind blown. I was thinking of replacing seats and the battery in order to lose weight but the pulley mod is 👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥

Yea! Replacing battery would be good for me. I’d love to replace seats as well since they are 125 pounds each, but the e93 seats are difficult to find replacements for due to the way the seatbelts work at the front.

So true, the belts are integrated with the oem seats. Roll cage then lol so there are anchors for the belt lol.

Don’t instal power steering pump pulley. Not enough clearance for belts. Crank pulley only

It worked for us, but there are different belt layouts depending on the year.

My coolant goes all the way up to 205, the normal should be 195. I did a coolant flush it seems to help a little bit (now max is 199). But in heavy traffic it does go up to 205 which passes the central line just a little bit...however it does not go up any higher.

205 max is good still. On my N55 turbo charged straight 6 335i, the coolant would get up to 212F, sometimes 220 max. Definitely not comfortable with that since all the plastic becomes very brittle over time.

When I coded the sport display on my F07 550i GT, it shows no information because it lacks of a sensor...so the entire sport display is just for show.
