I probably wouldn't have put up a privacy fence. I would have sat out on the patio naked while eating my dinner. That would be enough to keep the neighbors indoors.....or at least give them something to look at. However, your privacy fence looks great, and it's a brilliant idea.

This lack of privacy is why I do not use my porch at my house, and I have been in home for many years. I have thought long and hard on how I would go about putting up a privacy screen, and this is a good idea, but out of my skill set, but I might be able to do something, although, my lack of privacy is at more than one angle. Great video.

Just so you don't get into any trouble with the privacy fence...grab some plastic flower pots from dollar tree or walmart all the same color. Drill two holes at top, use floral wire to attach pots to your privacy fence and plant flowers, veggies or just outdoor plants. If the management doesn't like that you attached the privacy fence put the legs in some nice plant pots, put concrete in pots and it will weigh it down and keep upright.😊

omg i was getting ready to put a privacy wall up maintenance free one but decided with my neighbors we want a privacy fence 6 feet tall it’s about having privacy i feel like i can’t sit out in my backyard they are always outside with kids and their dogs or in their swimsuits for the hot tub . sometimes u just gotta have ur own space and until my fence goes up this month i can’t use my backyard .

Hi Alli. I too have a balcony, when the block of apartments were built the builders put a solid privacy screen in between neighbours. Good for you to have privacy, he seems rude, especially putting up a wind chime hopefully it will annoy him rather than you as some wind chimes can be loud, especially when the wind kicks up.

I definitely was back and forth on what to do. I think brown would look great too. I ultimately decided to go with what'll match best with the color scheme of the patio furniture and rug, once those are placed outside!

Turned out great! And like that you matched the apartment siding color - smart :) Also feel your privacy pain. I used to take my lunch break in a huge empty abandoned store parking lot. To eat, listen to the radio & throw bread crusts to the birds. And almost every day, a lady would park in front of me, bumper to bumper, on her lunch break too. I guess she wanted company. 🥪🫤?

I didn't get permission, but we're allowed to have trellises, outdoor decor, and other neighbors even have out fences. They didn't report us... but they did install a giant set of wind chimes since the wall went up 🤦🏼♀️😂

I was def worried about it, but also I didn't want to be stared at anymore because it made me not want to use my balcony I'm paying so much rent to have. But that's why I made the wall short enough that we can still see each other and converse when standing up! It's just about 4.5' tall.
