Not only has it been a busy few weeks with construction, it’s a whole new dynamic with another little one in the mix. She’s really taken to Charlie which has been so cute to watch. Todd is still working on nailing down her accent of course but she’ll be speaking in no time 😂...any suggestions on names make sure you drop them down in the comments! I literally squealed when Todd took her out of the crate!!! I love cats SO much!! And then when I saw that they all got along so quickly...my heart totally melted!!! You two kill me. You started out with a used travel trailer, refinished it, purchased another one, refurbished that one, moved back to NS because of Covid and have developed this big beautiful homestead on The Land. . Every time you you sort of finish a project you have another grandiose idea for a new roof, building, garden, and on and on. Not to mention the Dome. I am enjoying every minute of it and continue to be amazed how you learn new skills and adapt your equipment and supplies for new uses. I am sure your family thought you were a little crazy but must be absolutely amazed at you now. By the way, it is hockey season (my favorite sport, both NHL and collegiate NCAA), Who is your favorite team. At Cornell we have several NS, Halifax players. Go Tyler and Todd. You are the best.

I really needed to hear Todd's talk about how to handle setbacks. I've had one of those weeks where everything has gone wrong. I haul cars in an enclosed trailer and went from Phoenix to Houston to Southern California and am now headed back home to Phoenix and have been broken down on the side of the road 5 times, with either mechanical problems or tire problems. As I write this, I'm waiting for a mechanic to come and fix a coolant leak. But, while I may not be able to get going just yet, it did give me a break to watch your video and get my spirits back up. And a big welcome to your new addition to the family.

Sometimes these setbacks turn out to be little blessings in hindsight. Hang in there until the scenery changes Chuck! I go through lots of these weeks myself. Don’t give up. Just take a break when you need one. Spoil yourself a little. Do something different to take your mind off of things when possible. I recommend watching more Tyler & Todd! Hahaha plug, plug.

Black cats are the best! Hubby and I adopted a three-legged black kitten after our dear 16 year old black cat Dewey passed away (someone brought the kitten into the local clinic at 2 months - he found him in the street). The vet had to amputate, but having 3 legs hasn't stopped him - now, he's a healthy active 15 month old cat - best of luck to you, new kitty parents!

A black kitty! I have one as well-- She is a rescue that I adopted when she was probably 5 weeks (according to the vet). I had to feed her with a tiny bottle! 🍼 She was so tiny that she barley had a voice-- but she would churp her little "meow" and she sounded like she was crying out, "mijah"... So, I named her "Mia". I think her name could be Shade - because you can’t see her on the shade! She is beautiful!! My daughter rescued a black cat after the two kitties she grew up with died. It name comes from a Russian folk tale and means something like “he who can’t be killed you usual means”. Look it up if interested - it is kind of bizarre, but I think losing her cats at about 17 years old scarred her and she loves this cat with all her heart! Koschey is the folk tale. Midnight would be another obvious name. Just don’t let her loose out in the woods!!! Congratulations on your new kitty!!

When I was first learning to program, a TA gave me the best advice, “Expect that it’s not going to work correctly the first time, so when it doesn’t, you think ‘situation normal, time to debug’’ and the times when the program worked right, you’ll be over the moon and happy” The TA said most ppl expected things to work the first time and spent 99% of the time hugely frustrated and never really enjoyed the times when things worked right immediately I thought he was overly pessimistic with the 99%, but after a multi-decade career, it was pretty accurate, although I would say the quality of my errors improved.❣️😁

I'm so happy about the cat, literally. I have a black cat, who was a stray when I moved here. For the past year and a half he has become my whole world. He brings me mice, moles, chipmunks and small birds. ( he only kills the mice, plays with them to death. ) His name is Spooky, name earned by the way he arches his back, like a Halloween cat. Named after the Voodoo Priestess in “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.”) - Metal sheds are better than wood. - Get twice as much gravel as you think you’ll need. - Use the cheap gravel if you’re going to hide it under a building. - Sitting on a rock in the middle of a river will soothe your soul. - Hanging by a campfire is the best way to end a busy day.
