One of the things I loved about this one was the child had a big role in giving a tour of her house which I loved seeing them be so involved. I love all the videos but this one hit me in the feels seeing her so excited to show off her room and the bathroom etc. oh and I noticed not everything was super duper spotless. Of course out in the mountains and snow you’ll see mud or dirt on something. It’s weird that that is something that makes me like this video.

Every Norwegian home (pretty much all of the Scandinavian homes) have a muck room as our entry. We will change from outdoor shoes to slippers before going further inside (or just going in our socks in summer). It's a necessity with the weather we got. Always find it strange how US homes, tend to walk straight into the living room, and walk inside with their shoes on, not just because they are filthy with whatever you have stepped on outside, but also because it must make your feet rot...

My husband and I lived in our tiny home (in Newfoundland, cold snowy winters) for three months before deciding that we needed to build on a porch, and I'm sooo glad we did! It has our wood stove, lots of hooks for coats and room for wet boots, and even a little clothes line over the stove for drying wet hats and gloves. It made a world of difference to our space.

You can do it!!! I'm rooting for you. I built a "hand built " cob ( clay soil, sand, straw, and water) house as a single mama of a 6 year old. The vision was strong and the world showed up to help! My girl is now a strong, powerful 29 year old who thanks me for our alternative life. Go for it, Mama!

I bought a cabin.. Much less expensive than a house, much bigger yard. It's the siza of an apartment, just no neighbors. I'm a 10 min drive from the closest town, and 20 min drive from the city.. Also just 20 min drive in another direction from most of my family. I have half the mortgage left (was supposed to finish it this year, paying 3/4 of my check each month, but the % has gone up, so decided to pay less, live better, and just pay it a little longer-term) I have done a lot on it, and are currently doing the last bits now, where it will be nearly perfect for me and my life.

This Mom made an excellent decision!! Sometimes making a drastic change like selling your home and go tiny can be scary because of the unknowns but it is worth it in the end! ☺️ I rather deal with the wilderness than have to deal with traffic, coworkers, stress from work, not having time to spend with your children, and financial stress. I too am a Mom with one child and I am looking to do the same as this Mom, go tiny and have my own property! This Mom looks so happy and not stressed. Her daughter looks happy too. The daughter is adorable! You don't need much to be happy!! The location is absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you Bryce and Rasa!

It is so great that they have their own land to explore and have so much fun while there. I have to admit that winters can be a challenge and it's good to see that they are learning how to adapt to the climate. And having neighbors that are there to help when needed is always a great thing. Thank you Bryce and Rasa for another wonderful video and I always look forward to your next one. It's so great seeing all these people with ideas that resonates with you're own way of thinking. I also downsized way before finding this channel. And it was really the same ideas. Why build a home out of "the ideals of a home" rather than "functionality which fits your needs". why have an office desk when you can combine your desk and kitchen table? and why stop there? Why can't the countertop, office desk, and kitchen table be the same piece of wood? In my kitchen I have made a kitchen island on wheels with two portable induction cook tops. I have used it as a workbench, as an extra office table extension, as a kitchen. Even as an "arcade cabinet" during a party (joysticks and screen). I also started to ask myself: Why have a sofa when I hardly ever have more than one person over? I could just watch TV from a bed really. It's super comfortable and relaxing. Suburbs and ideals of the home is really built around excessive consumption and car use. It doesn't really solve any of our needs or problems. We just end up buying expensive houses with a lot of space, which we then feel obliged to fill with things. Often with unnecessary stuff (because it can't look empty). And due to this we borrow our expensive lifestyle with our "time" and "money": we end up with mortgage, We need to work extensively to cope with our upkeep, we need to sit in soul crushing morning traffic. It just drains the joy- and our precious time from living- and focusing on everything that is REALLY important in life. (Like the people you love, your passion etc.)

Welcome to Living Tiny Megan and Sloane!!! 😃👍🏽😍 We’ve been Living Tiny for 6 years. My hubby and I. We found that if you put R19 insulation under the house, with a small electric heater it stays nice and toasty during the snowy and freezing nights. We also invested in a small remote thermometer so we can see the temperature under there too. AND in the Tiny 😊👍🏽 Ours is 399 sq. ft. In the mountains of Colorado 🏞🌄🌌 We got some cold snaps -6, and it held heat for 3 days, only went down to 44. While OFF! I’m SO GLAD you’re two are doing this!!! It’s AMAZING! 😊👍🏽 ENJOY!!! 💝💝🤗🤗💜

Looks like Bryce didn't go in person to meet this lady and film her house. But the quality of the video and the way it is filmed is still done as usual. It is a new way of doing the interviews and if you think of it, it is better for the environment to export your way of doing the interviews than travelling to visit in person. The presentation was well done, the little girl did it well. I didn't notice the info about the utilities:water, power, sceptic tank, off grid, on grid, etc...These infos are important. This lady has done very well for herself and her daughter. She got a home for $50 000! Impressive. And she seems to own the land too!! Perfect. For a cold climate the entryway is a must.

My goodness, Bryce - I don't know how you and Megan found each other but I'm so glad she got to tell us her story and show off what she's done for herself and her daughter. They are a cheerful and loving family, and their space is light, comfy, lived-in and efficient. I'd love to see what they get up to once the snow melts and they can perhaps use their land in different ways - as well as maybe add some guest space! This would be a good family to revisit in a year or three.

A polite feedback.... everything is great in this format of videos, I appreciate that you've taken a step to overcome the challenges & present us these beautiful tiny homes... Please try to incorporate the usual "flow" of house tour you have when you visit them in person... Like showing the house one area after the other in a smooth way instead of jump cuts.. They use to make us feel like we were present inside the house!! Great work man love your channel loved this tiny house as well😍🤩

What a lovely home. First time I've seen a railing on a Tiny House staircase - such a good idea as I always think about the possibility of falling off! I love their enthusiasm and their 'can do ' attitude.

Mum Megan and wee Sloane are both so articulate and enthusiastic that we can't help but be caught up in their most *excellent* adventure. Megan is ensuring that her precious daughter will have a lifelong love of nature...the land, which is pure gold. 🤩 What exciting (true life) stories Sloane will tell her own children some day! There's nothing like the voice of Experience, is there? Thank you Bryce and Rasa, for keeping it real -- and for continuing to do what you do best. Well appreciated and wonderful to see!!! 🥰🥰 Cheers from snowy Quebec, Canada! 🎆🎉
