I'm so glad you found this video "Adding plants and tropical flowers around the pool | My Carolina Garden"! It's planting time in my poolside flowerbeds. I'm adding canna lilies and elephant ears that I've divided up from other parts of my yard, and finding the perfect placement for some of my favorite things. It's important to me to place my gorgeous Bougainvillea and my artwork of a wave in just the right spots so I can see them from everywhere :)
My name is Nicole Roggeman, and I am a gardener in zone 8B in coastal North Carolina. Gardening is my passion, and I like to try new combinations of plants together, I plant for fun and try not to worry too much. Since My Carolina Garden is in Wilmington NC, we have hot, humid summers, and have sandy soil here. These are all things I keep in mind throughout the growing season. You don_t have to to go in exotical countries in vacation, thanks to your hard work, creativity and artistical spirit , you have the tropical treat at home . 👏💚🌴. Don t worry anout the oleander, they use to have different bugs, but they are strong plants and if you take care , they are ok. I use neem oil too, well, you can try other natural methods. I am so happy your oleander did it through the winter . My first canna lily is blooming, also my hydrangea and a kind of like oleander - looking plant (asclepias curassivica), I bought some dahlias and geraniums so I am feeling happy in my balcony too. BTW, I wrote you before , your bougainvillea will become a jewellery of your garden!

Honestly, the color doesn't hold up great in the blazing sun. I've tried different brands with similar results, so I don't even know what to recommend. Stuff really takes a beating in the sun.
