That's the way i started . Keep at it. I'm at the point I'm starting to see the results of learning and seeing it in the stuff I build.

I like the precision eyeballing technique you used. At least I got a good idea out of it. I'm more of a "perfectionist," so I'll measure and plan everything. Thanks for the idea👌

So, when I made the third drawer, I finally decided to remove the side dado panels and simply cut another kerf just to deal with the slight binding. It worked like a charm!

How are the drawers holding up after a month of use? With weight in them they might stick or need more support. Maybe try some hardwood runners or slippery dense plastic (HDPE) screwed along the kerfs in the case? Maybe add some drawer fronts with enough overhang to act as a stop and cover the kerfs and runners. Lubricate the runners with bees wax.

So far, they're just as smooth as ever. Hopefully they can go awhile without replacing. They've proven very useful.

Not bad for eyeballing it. How has it held up thus far? Looks like it's been about 3 years.

Still working as intended. I use the drawers all the time. They fill with dust though since they're not sealed off when closed. Thanks for watching!

Dude handling a router like that you can bet it is going to bite you one day and it won't be good. Like the way you did the slide on the draw instead of hardware

Thanks. That was years ago. Hopefully, I got better at using a router.

Hope you are still not getting down on yourself, I give you a lot of credit for doing youtube vids and looks like you have very good building skills developing.

Thank you. I've definitely developed my skills over the past few years. I still keep my doofus title bc there's always a good chance I do t know what I'm talking about.😂

My favorite thing about your videos is how you show your mistakes and the work that goes into fixing them. I will be disappointed if you get good enough at this that you stop screwing up.

Don't worry bro, I've been doing this for years and I still mess up. Mostly bc I'm so willing to improvise and try new things. 😀

Not trying to be a hater, because it looks like they do work, but those are some zero skill drawers. With any weight there is no way that will last. You need to put a disclaimer at the end saying this is what not to do. Sorry

I've had them over a year now and they're working perfectly. They weighted pretty heavy. I think I see what you're saying though, if the bottoms weren't supported in the dados, there's no way they would hold anything but since my design makes sense for the random material I used, it's fine. When they do fail, I'll make them a different way. I have other kinds of drawer videos on my channel so give me another chance.😅

@@Bardock7132 the R word isn't political correct! It is actually very rude and shows your immaturity and uneducatedness! More than disrespectful! I don't believe I even went near that line.
