As a black person who does art Some people really underestimate how difficult it is to paint dark skin 😂 even in digital art its very hard to shade People who show random colour shades like "look at all these dark tones you're just lazy" are stupid and don't understand art You still have to shade and highlight those colours Its especially hard with coloured lighting cause it doesn't show much on dark skin (especially blue) Its why I work mostly with tan as its the perfect shade for a whole range of freedom Light is great too but if you want to have highlights it can be difficult Tan is a perfect middle to where (almost) everything works Its also a good colour for finding colour shades that work with all skin tones so I tend to start with it Keep doing your dolls - this came out AMAZING and I home you keep experimenting :)

A baby can be born with dark skin right from birth. The skin color is determined by genetics and the amount of melanin present in the baby's skin, which develops while the baby is still in the womb. The exact shade of skin can sometimes change slightly after birth as the baby adjusts to the environment outside the womb, but the skin tone can be dark at birth.
@solarpanda34012 ай бұрын
The baby looks lovely. I especially like the details of the slightly darker skin on the eyelids and around the mouth, which is natural and beautiful. Even the leg had darker areas around the knee. Its natural and a unique feature of poc, but i keep seeing people trying to lighten those areas like its dirty or something (it is not, where your skin folds or creases, it may be a bit darker. Even white people have it, but it looks pink on them. Its not a blemish or dirt) People of colour come in literally all the colours. From dark to fair. There are definitely babies born this dark (like in my family as a South Indian, and i have seen IsiZulu and IsiXhosa friends who had younger brothers or nieces/nephews this colour ). Although it is more typical for babies to be born a bit lighter and darken over time, this skin tone could be for a person more dark than what we commonly see 🤷🏾♀️ like that one supermodel (Anok Yai? I think)

I liked it better without the skin texture. Just made the baby look dry and ashy and definitely changed the skin color. No hate. Just honest opinion. And babys skin is super soft...like a babys bottom Is a thing ...they don't really have the texture in their skin that we do... So I definitely think it looks more realistic and much better without the skin texture....it actually ages the baby...

The goal is representation and accessibility. You’ve achieved both with taking direct action to create dark skin tones. I’m not sure why people feel the need to comment that black people aren’t born this dark. Of course, our skin complexions can change overtime. This is true. But As a black woman and a black mother I would prefer to buy a darker skin tone baby reborn versus a lighter skin tone. My goal is representation and to see my reflection. And I’ve been a darker skin tone most of my life, excluding the 3-4 weeks as a newborn baby. Please ignore the negative comments. Sometimes people just want to be offended. Please continue to provide diversity and representation for all and accessibility for individuals who often can’t find a dark skinned, quality reborn baby. You did great and will only get better. Don’t let “some” comments discourage you. There are “other” POC that support your efforts!!
