Stan, it looks like the lights are going to be beneficial for you around the homestead! You're the perfect guy to test items sent to you because you're going to be honest and fair. It will be good to see/hear your opinion after 30-60 days of use. Hope all is well for you and the family and hope you have a great holiday weekend. As always, stay safe my friend.

Thank you. If they hold up, they’ll definitely be a big help, especially in the winter months. Most of my feeding and up being in the dark during that time. I hope they do well because I see them working great in about 2 more locations on our property and this may be the answer. Hope you have a great rest of your week. Take care!

I like the different functions the solar light has per the remote. I could see using the 2 hour for a bit of storm clean up etc and then changing it back to the motion setting. I too would like to hear a 30 or 60 day reevaluation. Thank you for bringing this product to our attention. Ya'll Stay Safe and Have a Blessed Week.

We love the solar light we have for our coop! We have no need for a light this large since our property is smaller and we have lights on the house that if we turn them on in the backyard we would be able to see just fine. But solar is the way to go for a situation like yours!

We have spotlights on the back of our home and they illuminate the chickens fairly decent but the side where the pigs and garden are have nothing. I’m waiting for the day the black bears we get often are standing right behind me and I don’t know it 😆

What a fantastic job you did with this video. From opening the package, showing hardware and great instructions on mounting. Then great showing of results. I just ordered and received 2 lights that look exactly like yours but had to order mounting bracket separately. I just opened them and no instructions at all in package for mounting. My lights came from Home and Lighting. It is a huge turnoff to have to order brackets separate and receive no instructions. Because of that I would not order from them again and makes me consider returning it all. Thank you for showing me how to mount mine. Great job.

Oh man that stinks yours was missing stuff. Overall these lights have held up. I’ve noticed the bolts they included with my hardware are rusting pretty bad after a year. I may need to replace them after a while, but everything thing else seems to be holding up well.

I need to look into these. Like you we use headlamps but that’s not always convenient for allot of reasons. And especially since allot of our animals rotate the light could move with them.

Great job Stan. Only though I have is, I had a couple of smaller solar lights, but the solar panels really need direct line of sight to the sun, due south unobstructed, to really recharge. Hope they work out well 👍

Yea your definitely right. I actually had another spot initially thought of and moved it slightly just for that reason. I have a space between the trees where the sun hits regularly so hopefully it will be enough to keep it running properly. Thanks buddy, take care

Thanks for the review and info. Just wondering if the shaking of the tree branches will trigger the lights on during a storm.
@RockyCreekHomestead Жыл бұрын
I haven’t noticed that and would be surprised if it did. In my opinion you have to get pretty close to the light to trigger the motion. The motion sensor is on the bottom side too so I think it’s detecting motion below it.

Do they stay on full light all night long? How i made a 2 12' 2x4 Light poles is out of 3 8' 2x4s > 2 long ones and 1 cut into quarters for a braces > for 2 light poles They also stated that the solar cell needs to be point at the sun! @RockyCreekHomestead2 жыл бұрын
You can set it to stay full light, but I haven’t tested it to see how long it will last. The longest I’ve run it on full power was 2 hours. I haven’t had a reason to be out there longer than that. Other than that, it runs at a constant low light until it detects motion.

In all honesty they’re the only company I had a slight fall out with. Although their product worked well so far, we disagreed on some things that happens after the fact. They used my video I created to create an online commercial that got millions of views. They cut out my channel and page name and all I asked was for them to provide credit in the description of the ad as the content provider. They wouldn’t do so and we ultimately had to agree to disagree. Lessons were learned through the process. Although I felt disrespected by their business in terms of our relationship and agreement, their product is holding up. I try to be honest at all times so although I don’t care for their business practice with me, I can’t knock the product. It is for the disagreement I don’t have a coupon code to provide.

I bought a similar light to mount on a metal pole in my unit complex carpark. Im going to install it below the electric light as the lights are never on due to vandalism. If you can find something like this at a local hardware store www.amazon.com/Boao-Pieces-Adjustable-Stainless-Clamps/dp/B07X5Z36Y5/ref=asc_df_B07HRSDVSD/?tag=&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312178336510&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1302332555460418379&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9008748&hvtargid=pla-575169812876&psc=1&mcid=86ff525abf0135ea8b0ff2a9e20f6f9f&ref=&adgrpid=60913153143&th=1 . Maybe if you have enough contact surface on the back, it can squeeze it to the pole of you run one on top and bottom. It tightens by turning a screw. Just a quick thought that came to mind

Great for the average, 'weather wise' location. but here we can get down to -40 and all in one units like this don't hold up. Hard wired in is the way for us. How reliable is it,, can it light up till morning?
@RockyCreekHomestead2 жыл бұрын
Thus far they’ve held up well. If I keep it on the setting where it’s low light until motion is detected it works through the night. I haven’t tested it in constant full brightness. I’ve used the 2HR brightness mode when I go out to feed in the mornings or late night. Once the 2 hours is up the light cuts completely out instead of going to low light which is a pain. I just make sure I use the remote to switch them to low light mode when I’m done feeding now. I’ve had about 2 viewers comment that they had issues with their light and customer service wasn’t good when they reached out. I haven’t had to contact them yet. Other than them sending me the wrong mounting screws for one light, I haven’t had an issue so far. A local friend purchased 2 without issues as well. I hope this information helps you determine if it’s worth the buy or not.
