I have found that your resource is one of the best, Gary thank you. In trying to find the" Boing" sound it sounds like a spring on iMovie, but I couldn't seem to find it. But then I realized there are two areas that are being used for sounds one of them I think is something that is imported under music when I punched in BOING it took me to something that said "cartoon" and I was able to find the sound having head injuries. I will probably forget this, so maybe you could add it to one of your videos lol. Then I can be reminded later. I am using your videos to help persecuted minority people in Iraq, who helped Americans, and were then the victims of further terrorism murder, and even losing their house to Isis. Please pray for them, and that I will be able to use the skills to spread awareness and gain support for these people, this widow and fatherless have retained their religion amid major persecution. I love how you get right to the tutorial without wasting time. Is there a way you can make one of the audio effects longer. In other words I want to have a sound effect but it's only 3 seconds long but I want to use it on a clip that's 30 seconds?

If you mean stretch the sound, you can just select it and change its speed just like you can with a video clip. If you mean loop it, you can select it, copy, and then paste paste paste as many times as you like.

Hi there Gary,thanks for the video,very helpful.One question I had all these sound effects in my iMovie but then after updating the OP they are not in the app anymore.Everything else is there like backgrounds,transitions and so on,but not the sound effects.I found the sound effects folder in the app package content,but I don't know how to put them back in the app.Do you know how to put them back? I'm guessing they are there, but you aren't selecting them to view in iMovie. Look carefully around when going to them.

Not sure what the problem could be from that description. Just keep trying things. Maybe restart iMovie or close and open the project again.

Is there a way to import additional sound effects into Imovie? The selection is very small and the sound that I wanted to use wasn't there. So I went on a search for sounds to import, much like fonts, but found nothing.

You can drag and drop any standard sound file into iMovie. Just search for sound effects collections and such.

Help? I made a video where I was talking and I made a mistake. I said the words "it is a right" and I meant to say "it is a privilege." Is there a way to change that without rerecording the entire video? Also, is there a way to change the background. I must sit in a very busy room. I'd love to change it to an outdoor scene. Just rerecord that section and edit it into that part. To change the background you'd need to record in front of a green (or blue) screen and use the green/blue screen function in iMovie.

Yes. Read the license that comes with iMovie. It states: "Except as otherwise provided, all Media Content included in the Apple Software may be used on a royalty-free basis in your own video projects but may not be distributed on a standalone basis (and audio Media Content may only be used for your own personal, non-commercial use)."

@@cookiecookielookies Depends on what you mean by "edits." You can copy and paste adjustments in iMovie. You can copy and paste clips with the edits. But copying an edit from one clip to another doesn't necessarily make sense.
