I like that. With the smaller machine that I use there is no air assist I usually have to babysit it and blasted with compressor air. That's another reason I'm looking into the fox alien, I probably will be making my purchase soon.

You were very helpful in answering my previous question. Please help me out with this one> In installing the air assist pump nozzle on the 20 watt Reizer by FoxAlien, does the nozzle fit over the brass round covering the lens of the laser or do you have take the existing brass round to be able to install the air nozzle???? In your video you do show the electrical hook up, then the placement of the hose and how the hose fits in the nozzle but can you please show the steps to install the air nozzle??? Thank you so much Frank

Yes, it fits over the brass cove on the laser. The electrical hookup is simply plugging it into the control board. There is one slot left. It just snaps in. I ran the hose through the drag chain. Currently, I have the hose attached on the side but I lose x axis travel. I’m planning on moving it to the rear. I believe this will work better. The air nozzle just slips over the round brass cover on the laser and tighten the set screw.

I'm not sure I understand the 'switch' in Lightburn for Air Assist. What does that do if you have to use the physical switch on the pump.

It just gives you the option to turn it off or on during the engraving. It adds a line in the gcode to turn it off and on if you have that capability in your machine.

@@PawPawsWorkShop Thank you for replying. On more research I realize that on the FoxAlien Reizer it doesn't do anything because the power plug on the control board is 'always on'. We would need a control board that triggered the power on from lightburn.

I really like the power supply that plugs into your LE-4040. Where did you get that from? Also, did you have to get tube? If so what did you get and how much of it did you need?

The air assist is from FoxAlien, it came with the hose and the power cable

The alienfox pump is only 8-10L, that seems really weak. You could probably get a cleaner and deep cut with the aquarium one despite its shortcomings. Could u do a comparison?

I have a question; Sculpfun S9 comes with 41 x 41 cm frame. Can I use 85 x 41 extended frame with air assist Fox Alien?

The Sculpfun S9 has an extension kit available with all the belts and necessary cables. I check to see how long it becomes. Also the FOXAlien air assist plugs into the controller. I do not see an available plug on my control board. I would use a different air assist

Just want to ask the question I bought the laser and the pump come with it but the bit for the laser what joins to it and the hoes I didn't get that bit try to explain it to Fox company but they keep saying I don't understand what you're saying and just another quick question what router bit can I use for my machine so I can take the laser off and put a CNC router bit on there can you send me some pictures state in which one I should buy for my machine thank you

No, you can mount it on a wasteboard if you so desire. This one will move. It has no stabilizing feet to dampen the vibration

Great explainer. How do you activate the 12v plug on the laser board? I got a Genmitsu compressor with that little plug and it fits the 12v socket on my Atomstack P7 controller, but it doesn't turn on the compressor (I'm using LightBurn and even tried turning on the air toggle in the software, but nada). So I'm using it with a power block/wall wart manually... air definitely makes a huge difference! Would love if someone can shed light on using the small 12v output on my P7. Thanks.

I have not looked at that certainly you would need to remove the connector. You could also use the aquarium pump with its own power supply. That is what I used before I had this one.

Yes you focus the laser the same 30 mm. I do not have air assist for the Genmitsu. I do not know if it will fit

@@PawPawsWorkShop They are identical, in all aspects, other than the same factory that makes them, coats the Genmitsu in black, and the Gennmitsu comes with the nozzle.

No, the control board must have a 12v plugin. You can use the fish tank pump with any diode laser

I do not have a k40. I can only assume that the GRBL settings control the air assist. You will need to adjust the settings in your software

Not Worth the money. I've had two of these fail within a week of putting into operation. The plastic motor housing ends get hot and melt. Nice case, terrible design. Don't buy these ! They are a waste of your money !!!
