Check out War Thunder for free on PC and console, and use my link for a massive bonus pack of vehicles, boosters, premium access time, and more: playwt.link/ja...
War Thunder is the most comprehensive vehicle combat game out there, including 2500 tanks, planes, helicopters, and ships, from 10 major nations spanning the ‘20s to modern day, with a worldwide community of over 70M players competing in epic PvP battles!
Today, we’re going to take a massive Lego tank, and mount some interesting and unconventional weapons on it! We’ll start at level 1 with an elastic band shooter that will throw some small metal discs. At level 2, we’ll make a playing card shooter that throws them like little frisbees at speed. And we’ll see what some metal cards can do too. Then we’ll experiment with a tesla coil to turn our tank into a 'lightning tank'. Finally, we’ll see what happens when we mount our massive Lego coil gun onto this monstrous tank!
Let’s see what mischief we can manage…

As a warthunder player with ~700 hours, I can say that ur tank misses an very important feature called depression. Ur tank is so tall and the gun cant aim down would have got this thing be very ineffective in hilly locations. Its much like russian tank that have like half of the depression of american tanks. But overall very vool desing.
@JamiesBrickJams

That's very true, I definitely could have done a better job of giving the tilt a better range of motion! I'd like to work on a much more compact design with a better integrated coilgun and reloading mechanism. If I do, I'll certainly work on a better aiming mechanism too 😉

now use your spinning wheel to fire metal rods actually use 2 wheels that pinch the rod and have them at slight angles to each other so they impart some spin to the rod to stabilize it. You should be able to hit 300+ fps with ease even using lego provided motors and wheels etc. And that is with your large rods/cut nails

@bobloblaw4297 2 ай бұрын
@@JamiesBrickJams I mean, it'd definitely be pretty neat if you could get something working! I guess the biggest question is if the tesla coil would be able to supply enough current to produce a noticeable shock given the added resistance provided by the saltwater channel
@JamiesBrickJams
@JamiesBrickJams 2 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure the current is already negligible and wouldn't provide any shock at all. Most low powered tesla coils (if they're designed well) shouldn't shock you much. But in therapy, it should remain visible along the length of the water! And there are likely some cool ways to demonstrate it 😄

What brand of non-Lego electronics do you use? I'm seeing you controlling far more than 2 motors with one remote, and I think it would really help with the Lego Battlebot I want to build, which'll need 4-5 motors depending on what sort of compressor setup I go with
@CarsonZ-iy5er
@CarsonZ-iy5er 2 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure those are Mould King motors, since I have one of their sets and the motors look like that. The battery box, controller, and motors can all be bought separately online. The tank body he uses is from Mould King set No. 17015. All motors work fine but the servo motors can only go center, full right, and full left, nothing in between. Hope this helps with the battle bot!

@@JamiesBrickJamsyes, I mean it is not like your vacuum one is bad but a v8 is going to output a LOT of power (and consume like a turbofan airplane engine) but I can imagine that it would be enough to power a electric weapon or system or whatever you want, with your imagination you can find a lot of uses for this, but it is still all up to you.😉
