Hello good sir, thank you for your excellent video. I am wondering if you could help me: I am trying to use the ethernet capabilities of the W5500-EVB-Pico microcontroller (I already set it up in my Arduino IDE), but I cannot seem to get it to work, even when I get it set up with the Arduino IDE. Specifically the Ethernet.begin(mac) times out. Any specific instructions for the W5500-EVB-Pico?

I do prefer the smaller form factor ones( same chipset but not so bulcky( also they come in packs of 2 for $20 vs this model comes in at $30/1pc ( connections+coding is identical so still awesome tutorial 😊))

Hello... I want to connect 2 points A and B. Each point has an Arduino Uno, Ethernet Shield w5500, router and access point. accesspoint in point to point mode and ip settings in 1 network. The distance between points A and B is 1 km. Can the arduino at point A and B communicate with this topology? thank you very much

Haha people the ethernet cable is simply just an example of using a common off the shelf and cheap cable to deliver the SDA and SCK signals over long distances. CAT5 is simply just 8 wire cable. Only 2 of the wires in this cable are being used in the example shown here.

nice and simple explanation! can I what Ip address can I choose If i want to control another modbus device using this wired ethernet with arduino . in that case I am not going to use a router because that device and arduino will be a closed network , no web data etc. any idea about it ? thanks :)

Ahahah! Dead beef feed... Why not!? Here's a question : You had all the code, and how to connect the Arduino to the shield and I am happy with that but it was pretty short on how to connect the shield to the PC. Right, it sounds like stupid question but it appears that apart from the simple connection of cable, there can be some settings in the windows network panel. On top of that, was your shield connected directly to your computer or to a router/stuff like this? Actually, I have no router and don't want to have one to do this experiment that should be a peer to peer connection. Thanks.
