Rain started pouring down in the afternoon so we just drove around the Mercado. Addis Ababa is more developed than I thought, the Chinese had come in and built many of the infrastructures.
you could really get a lot done in a short amount of time. They did not offer visa on arrival for foreigners as of May 2023, make sure to apply for visa ahead of time. I was only able to leave the airport with a transit hotel reservation by Ethiopian Airline, and it was located 5 minutes outside.
