The saddest thing is the poor Oromo people whose land has been taken way for all this work got nothing out of it. The Oromo people who used to live around Addis became poor, homeless then before.

While I don’t disregard your concerns, I believe this government has a fairly good resettlement package for the farmers that includes housing and commercial facilities. It’s also not fair to expect the farmers to continue living the rural subsistence farming type of lifestyle while the rest of the world continues to develop and modernize.
