I actually ended up getting this bike. I took it on a moderately rough bike trail and it stood up pretty well. I'm 5'3" and this felt like the perfect sz for my height. I ended up going with the darker blue, however. This video helped me in finalizing my decision. Thank you.

How does it climb steep hills?

@@ronaldmunoz3207 I weigh 135 lbs. I put a trailer and an 80 lb German Shepherd behind my bike and we went to an ATV trail in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. It was able to haul our butts up some pretty steep hills. I also took it to Turner Falls, OK. (Turner Falls does not allow dogs, so it was just me on the hills) and the bike performed beautifully, but the decent about smoked my brakes.

Normally I would say that's one of the worst shifters ever, aside from a grip shift. But I have one on my electric Fat Tire Bike,and it's really growing on me. I mountain bike a lot, I like to use bar ends for climbing and for comfort. And the weird positioning of the trigger is actually kind of nice because I don't have to take my hands completely off the bar ends to shift. Almost seems like that shifter was made to be used with bar ends.

Note to self, Add wide open crusing throttle + turn into loose leave pile = not good, nice recovery

I just received this bike. Just rode today for the first time, all is good except the bike wants to steer left if you remove your hands and you constantly have to be applying pressure to keep the bike straight. Contacted Addmotor support today, will see what they recommend...

I don't know a lot about these bikes but the website says the amp hour battery on that particular bike is 12.8 and it's bigger brother the 550 is 16 amp hour.

hmm. very interesting. i wonder if they have more than one landing page for this bike? then battery we had for testing was a 48v 16ah, which matches the listed specs here www.addmotor.com/products/m-430 where did you see 12.8 ah? thanks, Mark!

You know I went to their website now I can't find it LOL I must have pulled up another one now I'm seeing 16 amp hour which is phenomenal this makes me want to make me buy this bike just because of the Great Looks and the large capacity battery.

I like the color and speed 28mph on that one. Nice video, just cant afford another electric bike now. Glad you got control of the ebike after the front end washed out. It happens to me too. I got a flat today on a bikepath.

At abt 10 mins and 41 secs, I hear you say: Ow, that actually hurt... What happened? I didn't SEE anything on the trail but it sounds like something with the bike shifted?

Don't buy addmotor. Their e-bike is very low quality and my e-bike stopped working after 4 days and they never reply to my messages. This e-bike is waiting in my garage for months. Also bike seems to be built very low quality.

I’ve seen a bike from this company roll through the shop once. The whole thing was a basically junked, drop outs misaligned, brake mounts weren’t faced properly, and welds looked really questionable. Their bikes look good on paper but they are piece of junk in real.
