J.R. Happy New year to you and Jess. Sorry to hear about your back issues. As someone once said, when your back hurts, you feel miserable all over. And been there. I'm 74 and when hearing of a much younger guy's physical ailments feel wonderfully blessed. Truly hope you and Jess enjoy your life together and continue to share moments with all of us!

All the best with your physical aches and pains. I am 70 now and find that having been busted up many times aver the years, things get harder as time goes by. But hey ho, what's for you won't go by you.

Dude! Find a chiropractor that does y strap and ring dinger adjustments! I have all what you said and started doing these as normal life every month and I have never felt better. They said I needed surgery but I'm good now. Ring dinger like every 3 months and y strap every month is my routine
@tvd1188Күн бұрын
my wife relies on her chiro, the important part is finding one who does adjustments as you mentioned. Some chiros are like more of a meditation thing than actual back adjusting. ymmv
@aaronzavala7464Күн бұрын
@tvd1188 Yeah it's hard to find one and luckily I have one 30 minutes away. I'm only 43 and thought my riding days were done... well long overnight rides anyway. Not anymore. Can ride all day without issues. No more left numbness either

Definitely grew up in a different generation. I know the feeling. L 3,4,5 herniated. Arthritis, narrowing, and a list of other issues. Like you, I can get 1 good day of work every 3 or 4 days. Projects take longer since I am slower and more methodical with everything. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

From watching KZbin, I have learned that if you buy a good press from Harbor Freight when on sale, next month, they usually have the air system on sale to operate it.

Man best home tig welder IMO is an everlast. I’ve been welding for over 20 years and most of that was aluminum tig welding. My everlast power tig 250ex is just as good as a miller dynasty especially for the price. After water cooler I have about $2700 into my tig set up. I’m an office guy now so my only welding is at home but I don’t have body aches as much

Cats are cool, we have 7 all were feral but they adjusted. Now they’re happy as hell. I admire you & Jess and the life you seem to have in terms of your traveling, camping & just hitting the road together. Great info on your various projects & in put on bikes. I have spinal curvature myself, major instability on my 3,4,5,6 vertebrae. I also have carpal tunnel in both hands and bad arthritis. You life sounds just like mine Jordan from the stand point of trying to manage the pain. I also have a metal rod & knee cap which obviously doesn’t help with posture. I’m old enough after continuing to battle leukemia the past 4yrs that I just will keep pushing myself until I brake. Even your work schedule is exactly the same one good day then in the recliner. I feel you pain literally brother, Your honesty on your health issues is refreshing, at times I watched videos and wish I could ride for two good days in a row but the truth is I can’t. Enjoyed the video Jordan and stay strong, fight it with everything you have. I’m 64 and I’ve got you by thirty years but I can see your inner strength and that’s what you need! Stay safe and take care😎

Thank you. I know I’m not the only one dealing with this, and a lot of people just don’t get the pain, often telling me to just work through it. They’ve obviously never been brought to their knee in spasms. Take care

L5S1 herniated disc with nerve encroachment here. Push ups are the only thing that keeps it in check. Not doing surgery unless i cannot walk or work.i do push ups and "Tysons"every other day. Had to work my way up starting with low numbers but i been doing them for years now so I'm able to do hundreds. Hope this helps someone. I've been thru PT and medication years ago but the push ups have prevailed

Hey Jordan, I was born with a light case of scoliosis affecting L 4 & 5 but I never let it bother me & continue to do things a best as I can. As for trips, maybe think about going to March Moto Madness in Tennessee with your DR650, it's on my list of events for attending in 2025.

I'm 71, been riding 52 years. Just started having my back interfere with my riding. Get a bike that's not a foot forward, and with long travel suspension. Any bike that forces you to sit there and let your back get pounded is going to be bad. You need the pegs right under your CG, so cushioning with your legs is no effort. Try a BMW R1200GS. Get away from Harleys and any other cruiser. Stay away from a Sportser, especially!

That’s particularly why I favor the DR650 so much, great upright position, the Pan America is comfortable also.

Don’t know what is with your back, but I had degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis and the surge. Was able to make room for my nerves in my lower back. When I had my surgery done I could barely do stairs. Don’t know if that is possible with yours. Just a thought other than fusion. Don’t know if that would work for you.
@JordanRay12 сағат бұрын
I’m in limbo, surgery is an option, but won’t fix it. My surgeon consultation said to avoid surgery as long as possible and stop doing anything to agitate it… so living? But basically if I do surgery scar tissue will form again regardless, fusion is also an option, but still they said I can come out feeling the same amount of pain. 🤷 I’m holding out for a bionic spine hopefully by 2050 😂

Get a good chiropractor or a good physical therapist. I hope that you feel better soon. Happy New Year to you and Jess & Midge
@JordanRay13 сағат бұрын
Been down that road. I do specific stretches to open up compression points where my nerve gets compressed. I can’t do chiropractors, they’ve just caused a lot more inflammation and unnecessary movement, atleast in my experience so far they think more pops the better, and that’s not what I need.

Not really, I think the only thing that we think about is sometimes wishing we were experiencing a moment together. But the press rides and trips are all ‘go go go’ there’s no time to rationalize me there. I’ve gone on a handful of trips with her now to help film and I’ve met a majority of the people so I trust a lot of them to look after her- even though it seems like she’s looking after them more now 😆
