I think the people complaining about the price are people not used to buying real jewelry. I collect crystals and stones for meditation and healing purposes and I can easily spend $10-$35 on ONE stone. So for an entire necklace beautifully hand made and made with real leather and real stones to be only $100 is an excellent deal. And even jewelry on etsy can easily run for twice that price. Your jewelry line is beautiful and reasonably priced for the quality content. I'm hoping to be able to afford a piece of my own soon! Best wishes to you on this endeavor 💖

This is VERY true!! Speaking of expensive stones, Moldavite is commonly $15 per GRAM and trust me a gram of Moldavite is teeny tiny! Real gems and stones cost money and handmade items are always more expensive because of the craftsmanship and time put in, do these people want you to spend hours making these pieces for free?! What's wrong with them! They seriously need to consider how long each piece takes and how much per hour your time is worth!

I always wonder why people give more shit to freelance artists than large corporations and businesses. Obviously youre going to have to charge a fair amount to cover all of the production costs. I would love to purchase one of the necklaces. However I currently dont have the funds to do so. Am I going to tell you to bring the prices down? This pisses me off so much. I've made stuff that's so labor intensive that I can't sell it. I have a silver and spinel bracelet I made that has well over 50 hours of labor in it. I'd have to try and sell it for $1500 minimum to make it worth bothering with, but no one is going to spend that on silver and spinel... unless you have a big name and have cheap Asian laborers doing all the work for you. Like David Yurman, who I once saw selling a very simple silver medallion on a leather cord for around a grand. Thankfully I never planned actually trying to sell that bracelet because it was a contest entry piece. But that's about the time when I started getting put off from trying to make and sell jewelry. I can't sell for what it's worth and some jackass that doesn't even do the work can charge stupid prices for something he probably spent an hour designing and giving to his assistant to mail to their Asian sweatshop.

I didn't know people were hating on the prices. Clearly, most of these people don't shop from artisans, or even etsy. Gem jewelry, leather jewelry, etc made by "small" people cost between 70 and 200 euros/dollars, depending on the materials. If it's sterling silver + a gem, it easily costs 120 euros. I think people are accustomed to buying mediocre quality at corporations and don't have touch with what artisans go through to create their stuff. Your line is perfectly reasonable and in line with what goes on on etsy and artisan markets. Much love xxx

Tony, you put in hours of PHYSICAL LABOR and that SHOULD be included in the price. You are entitled to make a PROFIT, because you are putting your blood, sweat and tears into your work. Don't justify yourself on that end. What your fans MAY want is transparency. What vendors did you purchase these jewels and crystals from? Things like that may be of interest to people intending to your jewelry. Is the Tibetan silver authentic, for example? Is the turquoise real? Questions like that are important to answer for your consumers.

A lot of people do not understand the price of REAL gemstones and jewels. I have crystals, stones, gems etc. I actually just bought a moon stone for over 200.00, which was cheap. I also have collected pieces from sharks and fossils, it's all in what YOU want to pay. It's really not over priced at all. It is so sad that such a pure being like you had to justify his intentions and his work for something he put so much love to create. I make handmade jewelry too so I personally went to check the prices of coprolite and dinosaur teeth around the web because I was super surprised you could sell a handmade piece with that kind of elements for such a CHEEP price, that's why I agree that they should really thank you for offering handmade original and creative pieces for such a reasonable price. You guys are doing a great work and the fact that you also are open to customize them to any need and preference of the customer makes it even greater. A way to make "more affordable" pieces could be to make also smaller ones or some with less valuable items so you can have two levels of affordability, which is what I personally do for my items. But it's just a suggestion since it's all up to your personal preferences and to the standards you want to keep for your shop (which is already great ♡).

being a jewelry maker myself, I don't think a lot of people understand all the work that goes into it. you buy the proper tools to make the jewelry, (which can be a lot alone) and then you buy the key pieces- which can be expensive- then you have to put labor work and a lot of thought into each piece. it takes time, and money. im lucky if I make an extra $15 on top of everything I spent and that doesn't include profit for labor. I think you've done fantastic tony! My mother used to own a jewellery store, where I worked as well. We used to make people's wedding, graduation/prom, special occasion, anything you want we would make it for you. People just don't realise as well how much time and effort goes into making a piece of one of a kind jewellery. It can take hours/days/weeks depending on how intricate the piece is. My nan has this problem. She makes small sewn collectors teddy bears. The material for them is so expensive , the eyes for them are expensive etc etc. The time she sits sewing is ridiculous. It can sometimes take weeks to make a bear. She loves doing it though. She is saddened by how people want to buy these products for so cheap for what they should be. to be fair and honest, the prices are reasonable for sure. I mean, people spend as much if not more on things like Pandora, so for jewelry with more raw materials from the earth that are valuable, particularly the fossils, it is definitely reasonable.
