Almost all kids in the uk will drink before they’re 18, my parents used to buy me small bottles of vodka when I went to house parties when I was 16/17. It wasn’t often but the fact that they were relaxed about it meant I didn’t go crazy when I did drink (unlike my friend with extremely strict parents who ended up having her stomach pumped)😅

My honest opinion- To be honest, I am poor. My family is poor, there is 6 of us living in a 2 bedroom house. Life is hard at the moment especially with the cost of living crisis but I just want to see your content. I don't care if you do a grwm or a morning routine or shopping for 24 hrs I literally couldn't care less. I just want to see your videos as you guys make me laugh. My respect for this family is just through the roof. I feel so safe listening to them and now I've been watching them since 2018, I just feel really like comfortable with everything they say and I love how they say they're opinions and are considerate about other people! But also just in general I just have loved seeing the girls grow up in the past 4 years especially Chloe, Sophie and now Maddison! I absolutely love how okay you are with the LBGTQ+, as a gay 19 year old it makes me feel very safe watching your videos. I love that you were talking casually about how if any of the girls end up with girlfriends in a way that tells me it's not a big deal if any of them are! I just have to say thank you. Personally I absolutely love the shopping challenges as well as every other video you guys put out! I’m currently really struggling with my mental health in hospital and every week I click on and will watch your video regardless of what it involves as it’s YOU as people that make me happy and make me smile. Shopping videos for me are a way to virtually go out, see what’s in the shops and enjoy the 20-30 minutes of time I get to spend with you out of my week. Thank you for keeping me going, I look forward to next weeks video ❤

i understand why there is a contraversy with doing the spending challenges during a cost of living crisis, but i can genuinely say that i love those type of videos. Even though alot of people are struggling with the current crisis doesnt mean that everyone is in the same situation, they put all they're time and energy into us as subscribers to keep bringing out new content. WHY shouldnt they be producing content that you can clearly see makes them interact wth the family and that they clearly enjoy! I myself am stuggling with the crisis living on my own wth one income, but i still enjoy the spending/ money challenge videos, BUT i still love to watch them 😕❤

personally, I love the shopping videos - the cost of living crisis does affect a LOT of us but, I love being able to live through you guys being able to do these shopping challenges. I’d love to see more of the shopping challenges which are full challenges like the scrabble letters “if you can spell it you can have it” and whatnot!

My daughter isn’t a teenager yet but I agree with your choices especially in regards to drinking. My mum was like that and we had a very honest and upfront relationship we didn’t have to sneak around but I know a lot of my friends didn’t have the same so they did. Joel and Sarah your great parents and that is shown in how amazing your girls are!!

You guys are super lucky, you have the money to spend. You shouldn’t stop doing shopping challenges just because other people will feel jealous they dont have the same money. I understand the money crisis but I dont think it should make anyone annoyed that you are spending money you have, becuase you arent in that situation, so it’s not ‘wasting money’ as they DO use the things they buy.

I’ve been drinking since a young age (in uk) my parents started off with a low percentage drink (wkd) and then as I got older I got higher percentage drinks, I’m now 19 have never been badly drunk. I think the way they let their girls drink is amazing!!! Saves so many young girls loves

Challenge idea in current crisis: (which would also promote that shopping second hand items is totally fine): Each household members would have to get a full outfit from £20-£25 (depends which area you live as some places cost more). Include the wee girl with glasses (I love her, but sorry don't remember her name), where she would obviously would go with one of you, but pick her outfit herself :)
