I have been following the Phillies since 1971 and I never disliked a Phillies team until this year. I can rant and rave for hours about my opinions, but I wouldn't. The manager must go of course, but that would upset the "entitled players", so management will sit on their asses and do nothing. I truly hope they blow the lead!

JJ, You're not the only one frustrated or even angry at this point of the season. It seems like the team went down hill after the London trip, then they got rid of Merrifield and things got worse. Dombrowski on the hand didn't do enough at the trade deadline. Personally don't think Kevin Long is the hitting coach they need and he doesn't have the answers to fix the hitting woes as they get worse. Thomson needs to realize that he needs more power at the bottom of the lineup what he has ain't working, when hitters aren't producing day after day reprimands need to be handed out. When Charlie Manuel was the manager he did it on numerous occasions. You can't fire a manager this close to the end of a season, Let management decide in the off season whether Thomson stays or goes. Those who think they can do a better job sign a contract see if they hire you.

I'm Telling you all Now... The Phillies will be Fine. Yes we have been Dog Shyte the last 6 to 8 weeks. But we are going to be OK. To many Professionals on this team with to many Professionals in the Front Office for it to continue. We have a team that has alot of Super Stars who know how to win. And we will begin to win again. Got outpitched by the better pitchers. Team starter ERA and and bullpen will reflect that. Braves also have an entire all star team on the injured list and lead the entire league in strikeouts. Good pitching beats good hitting.
