The adductor muscles, situated on the inner thigh, play a vital role in hip adduction, stabilizing the pelvis, and facilitating movements like walking and maintaining balance. Massaging the adductors can offer numerous benefits, including increased flexibility, reduced muscle tension, and improved circulation. Targeting these muscles is particularly beneficial for athletes and individuals engaged in activities demanding lateral leg movements such as soccer players. Techniques such as effleurage, petrissage, myofascial release, neuromuscular, medical massage and trigger point therapy can effectively release tension in the adductors. However, therapists should approach with care, as deep pressure near the groin area requires sensitivity. Common injuries to the adductors include strains and overuse injuries, emphasizing the importance of tailored massage sessions to aid in recovery, prevent future issues, and enhance overall lower body functionality.

Thank you Maria for another great video delivered! I have learnt so much from what you have shared! I am and will always be grateful❤. Well done for the artist who drew the muscles, it's been a fabulous idea that helps a lot. 🤗 Massage tools ordered from you are constantly used and all I can say it's they are magic. I think every therapist should have them. Thank you ❣!

I also love your videos Keeps me fresh minded. I’m just concerned with this particular video that the muscle layout of the drawing appears to be in reverse. Shouldn’t the gracilis be the most medial with muscles fanning toward the femur?
@MassageTherapeutics915
@MassageTherapeutics915 5 ай бұрын
Not sure if the camera projects them backwards. The artist drawing the muscles does not know anatomy. I just give her the drawing & she does her best. Sometimes it’s not perfect. The gracilis does originate (closer to the pubis symphasis) on the ischium and inserts on the tibia at the pes anserinus. It is medial. Maybe it’s not drawn correctly. You’re very good to observe this! Look at your book and see how it compares.

@@MassageTherapeutics915 that makes sense. Thank you. And silly me, I thought the sartorious muscle was the longest and crossed the knee joint. 😳🤦🏼‍♀️ Update: it is the longest muscle of the body and does cross the front of the thigh, angling inward and inserting at the tibia.
@MassageTherapeutics915

@@user-vs1ul6zr7u the Sartorius is the longest muscle of the body & it does cross the knee like the Gracilis however the Gracilis is one of the adductors and the Sartorius is not. 🤗
