I honestly could have sworn that this ended with Rik Mayall standing on a balcony above the stage with scissors, and cutting a rope which was holding up one of them ten ton block things, that ofcourse "landed" on Adrian, (it must of had no bottom and he ended up inside of it) and then the judge interviewed him whilst he was still "under" the block. Honestly, it's such a strange and specific memory, but I vividly remember watching it.

Please no negative comments. It was done for the purpose of a charity. Ade's performance along with Riks appearence maintains the principal of comic relief beautifully even if some cannot say the same for the acting or even dancing. Personally, i think it was by far the best performance of the evening :)

I laughed at Rik entering and hitting Ade with a frying pan but then I thought "Oh... I'm sad now." I grew up with The Young Ones and have really fond memories of Bottom. Back in the day of physical media, I got something else as the cover with the first 3 episodes of Bottom as what was actually inside it. I thank everyone who has EVER worked in that second-hand shop for never checking because that was the start of me watching what would become my favourite sitcom,

The comic duo - best known for student comedy The Young Ones and anarchic show Bottom, which followed two jobless flatmates - promise the new show will be as crazy as their previous efforts, despite featuring a much older generation of characters.
