As always, a nice video showing the work of a craftsman. Who hasn't cut the wrong half, drilling through the entire piece instead of making a blind hole.....? I see it as a reminder to lower the nose... Looking forward to see how and when it's used.

That's a very interesting build. With some challenging setups.

Hello Ade, that was a clever example of the use of an adjustable parallel. 👍

Hi Ade. If you run out of room under the spindle you could try my simple 20mm high low profile holder that simply clicks onto the spindle. If you are interested, search for - 20mm high DTI holder with 200mm extended range. Hope you like it, there are other variants on the channel.

I have Stefan's drawings but not started yet. I need some decent stock and some heat in my garage so it will be a spring project.

Keep an eye out for Postman Pat, there may be some Sherwood countersinks coming your way (I needed some more bits to make free shipping anyway). I'll post them in a couple of days.

I made one of those but i changed it a bit and while experimenting made the body from nylon to test the changes. I incorporated a fine feed which tirned out quite nice and seems a little novel in design. I should explain since second retirement my hobby seems to be trying to make the "perfect" dti holder and since that is an unachievable aim i will never run out of things to make.😅 Edit PS nylon actually works, although meant as temporary, being stiffer the the dti stylus spring. Edit 2 like you i try to use one size collet as much as possible and have settled on 20mm, so i had to enlarge Stefan's plans hence the trials with nylon.

2:10 "Half a mill over" I have recently realised that 'Merkins use 'mill' to mean a 'thou', but I have always meant a millimetre. Which do you mean?

Functionally equivalent to Stefan's design should be your trademark for this one. The end result is what matters. Also you missed an opportunity to use the Alexander 2CG to make a dovetail cutter :-)

Hi Ade. Just started watching this video and using headphones and the audio is extremely low. KZbin generally is ok.
