In this vid you're basically crossing the northern part of the Warner Mountains. Again, in winter the passes over the Warners can be a little scary. Plush is a really "inspiring" hamlet near the base of Hart Mountain. The few who live there have a huge advantage...a perfect place to be settled if social chaos should erupt in the U.S. Very pretty too.

Thanks for the info! I really hope to make it to Plush and the antelope refuge next year :)

Suggestion: if going by way of Christmas Valley to Hart Mountain and Plush, why not make a followup vid taking one of the remote County roads down to Ft. Bidwell, and then to beautiful Cedarville, Ca?

That was on my list of possibly doing, I will for sure do some more research and try that next year.

In my experience if there is a gas station out here, it's going to have diesel. What with everything that runs on diesel out there it's close to 50/50 usage as I understand it. A lot more so that in the city at least. I liked Plush. I came in from the NW on Hogback Road, that's a good gravel road. You can come in there from Xmas Valley and have enough fuel to get to Frenchglen via Plush

Way cool, that is on my list to do next. Christmas Valley to Plush to Winnemucca and points south!
