Adelaide - A Decade of Change: 2012-2022

Its interesting to see how Adelaide has changed over time, 2012 was the year I moved to Adelaide and it felt like such a smaller city a decade ago compared to now.

I moved back to Adelaide after a few years in Brisbane certainly has changed. It actually reminds me of Brisbane a bit

We're Brisbane residents who visited Adelaide for the first time just last month. I half expected the SA capital to be similar to Brisbane. How wrong I was! Adelaide reminded me of Brisbane in the early '80s. The lack of tall buildings, and in particular the lack of crowds and traffic, along with quite a few buildings that need some serious money spent to spruce up the CBD. Loved the Adelaide Hills and how close the airport is to the CBD. We were only there for 48 hours, so didn't bother with seeing Glenelg Beach. It just seemed like a mini version of what we have on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, but without the nice weather. As much as I'd like to explore country SA, Adelaide is pretty much a "one visit is enough" kind of town. So is Brisbane.

Nice weather? You've no idea. Our climate is near on perfect. A few hot days in summer and some cold rainy days in winter. Have your humidity and floods and leave us be xx

@@nathanielpillar8012 When we visited Adelaide was going for tops of 15°C with a lot of cloud. Then we went to Hahndorf where it was about 9°C and drizzle. Perhaps we were there at the wrong time of year, but you don't get that in SE Queensland. People come to Queensland for the great weather.
