Any updates if they have started building the skatepark or not?
@mcwithmatt17003 жыл бұрын
I think they have. I looked it up and it said it would be completed by mid-2021.

Cheers for the updates. I'm riding it my first time today. A much needed await after the travel lockdown coming from the United States of America.

I really hope this doesn’t be like Christie’s beach skatepark where it’s slippery as because those parks are death machines for pumping really hard or using hard wheels

Such a skater influence. I know it is the future of skateparks and Bmx is the minority. But it’s sad to see this is what we are looking forward too now. The days of box jumps and transitions that you can progress your skills on are long gone. The bowl would be awesome if the new skateparks weren’t so slippery. Oh well at least you guys are keeping the skaters happy hey! There’s a reason Queensland and Victoria have the most talent, the facilities that are aimed at progression. Not bl##dy skate plazas.

Looks like the days of wooden half pipe ramps are long gone. I used to skate the ramp at Ridge Park, Glen Osmond in the 1980s. Really nice half pipe but it's all but a memory now.

Bro are you dumb? Concrete is expensive I would not be surprised if this park would actually cost a little bit more
@ajupenieks91342 жыл бұрын
nah mate is uuuu. damn look at all these “world class” skateparks getting built round australia. none of them exceed over 3 million but get way more obstacles, ramps n a huge park to ride weather it be scoot skate or bmx
@Misterman6682 жыл бұрын
@@ajupenieks9134 bruh probably because a lot isn’t as big as this, this is like huge and also not a lot of parks have that polished look also costing more then they have to pay the workers then if they wanna market the company that made it that would also cost money then they’d have to pay for all the trucks, excavator, concrete then they’re getting someone from Canada to help build the cradle (full pipe thing in the bowl) which they would have to pay for his flight ticket and then pay him also they’d also have to pay for steel and paint none of which being cheap the world class parks you see probably costed not a lot because they didn’t spend money on the paint and arent as big and a cradle would cost a lot to make it’s shape just in general
