@@TheVoyagersTrainsAndThings apparently we might actually get a new line to Two Wells though, or at least as far as Riverlea. They’ve reserved part of the corridor for it adjacent to the freight line. Mount Barker is also decently likely to see passenger service again at some point given its growth… Hopefully we kick out the dithering idiot that is Tom Koutsantonis and get someone competent as transport minister 😂

The diesel trains are now being converted to diesel-battery hybrids. Free running = diesel. Idolling = battery

They've just had a full engine refurb, I think they want another 7-10 years out of them then eventually they'll look to electrify the route or use batteries.
