That’s not the case, although for ALOT of stupid people it might be. What is INHERENTLY wrong about putting on dark makeup? Nothing. And in a culture like the Netherlands, where putting on ‘blackface’ is actually part of an old tradition where they depict a character in Dutch folklore, the negative taboos associated with blackface only exist because of the influence of American values on the world.
