Just think the immense pressure the guy on the piano has to deal with. A stadium filled with 90,000 odd thousand people relying on you. Adele relying on you. A entire nation relying on you. Just one slip of the finger and that's it. Everything is ruined. This one goes out to you piano guy. Crazy amount respect to you.

This was the performance that completely changed the trajectory of her career and life forever. She completely blew up overnight and this song's popularity just flew through the stratosphere. I remember it so vividly, literally everyone at school/work was talking about this performance and singing the song. Then every talent show performer, every busker on the street, it just got bigger and bigger. Such a special moment in music history. Adele should feel so proud of this song!

Upon this songs release In 2008, I couldn't believe that Adele (someone I'd obviously never met) was able to write my life, write my love & write my pain, so specifically & so, so well, as if she'd plucked it right from my own mind & heart. Her ability to do this for millions of us world wide is absolutely incredible & her huge talent is totally incomparable. For years I used to cry while singing to this, but now I am just genuinely moved & playing the music on my piano feels like such a precious gift. Adele is (IMPO) a true, generational, British icon. A woman history will be listening to for decades & centuries to come. As long as there are humans, there will be love & so we'll always be touched by such creative writing, together with truly beautifully written & played music.

I've been around as a musician, and I experienced the 60s with Dylan and The Beatles. I love jazz and classical, Big Band and Hank Williams, but for my tastes Adele is simply the best popular singer I've ever heard. Add the fact she writes her own songs and they are excellent. Her vocal tone is incredible, with that 'catch,' in her voice. But more so it's the raw emotion she sings with, which goes directly to my heart. Ultimately, that's what I want, I want to f.e.e.l. when I hear a song. Adele has that ability. She's a singer that wasn't a creation of producers and managers. She's authentic and un-produced, and she deserves all her massive acclaim.

I have so much respect for this lady, not just because she has a lovely personality and an incredible voice and song writing skills. But this is a lady that pulled back from her career while it was at an all time high to raise her child away from the public eye. She gave her career up for nearly 5 years to be a mom to her child, and then you look at most stars these days that cannot wait to chuck there child down a runway and on the cover of magazines yet she walked away from it all and still will not allow a magazine to publish a photo of her child. A true music icon and not just a money making puppet. On that note I'm so happy with the surprise teaser she's just realised for her new album. You have been missed Adele, welcome back.
@BlogBitch8 жыл бұрын
+Mark Tripton Most women do that, no matter the career women have to chuck it in to have a child. Whereas men just chuck out their spawn and expect the woman to take care of it, complain of the cost and whine if they can't see the chucked out spawn when they want to. And blame their Mother when it all goes wrong.
@Leo-pp8vf8 жыл бұрын
+BlogBitch completely disagree! Most women do eventually leave work to return once there child has been born and raised to a certain age, the post I made was regarding woman in Hollywood that jump straight back into work after giving birth due to it giving them extra publicity. So grateful to have been here and seen this live. Won a competition at work and got to go. Easily one of the highlights of my life. I wasn't in a dark place then but I have been since and am now and the power of this song brings me back all those years later. Loneliness is real and it hurts. Her vulnerability is beautiful. She was so shy towards the end, you could feel her nerves through her voice but she made it through and to think about the kind of artist she has evolved into today. It is so amazing to see artists evolve the way they do throughout their careers. It just reminds you how much we all change as we age. Oh life.

Its no fun alone I must say. I would always know there is no match for what we had. I can't imagine a break up and him still running around out there. We are musicians and I can hardly get thru a full song he wrote. I should shop them around. We played such beautiful musical along the classic rock genre. I miss him dearly.
