When I heard Collabro doing Stars, I thought, ‘they’re good, but the lead off singer has The Voice.’ Then I heard you had left, and I thought what fools they were to let you walk away. I wish you all good things. Your voice is pure, vibrant, glorious, and I feel blessed to hear you sing.

I am shocked you took time to answer my comments and I am glad you know what you want for your career the 1st time I saw and heard you sing on HGT I was so blown away about how you stood there and talked and then sang. I was blessed to grow up with a mom who was a pianist and introduced me to ALL music and to hear someone who has such a beautiful voice is a joy beyond measure (esp when most music today is anything BUT music) of course you must sing what “touches” you stay true to yourself and even people like myself who prefer you sing a certain style will listen and be moved by your voice

Ur voice is beautiful and like all performers U have ur preferences BUT when most people prefer a style do t you think you should sing more like that especially if you want ur career to grow??? Your voice is more beautiful when you sing shows. Your not Frank Sinatra (thank goodness) it’s ok to sing some songs to recognize his changes thru the years BUT sing for the people who WANT to hear you and more styles I would listen to you for hours but not the way you sing now I have MANY people whom I had follow you initially but not now I wish you had put an album out singing a full range of music but not the “jazz” stuff you sing most of the time now and the people u had following you(many many here out west) don’t now
@richardhadfield27125 жыл бұрын
Kathryn Taylor thanks for your comment and compliments Kathryn. I sing all sorts of songs and sing cause I love telling a story through song. I don’t know if you’ve seen my most recent videos but I have prominently sung the show tunes you speak of. In fact this clip was from a show not too dissimilar to my Movies and Musicals night at the end of last year. Hopefully you get a chance to listen to some of those. Im sorry you didn’t like my experimentation with other genres but it’s something I wanted to work on for a while and now my concentration is Musicals this year after leaving that world of the past two years. There are many underlying factors to these decisions so I’d like to ask you to perhaps not view my career choices so black and white in the future. Anyway, I hope you continue to enjoy all music and feel free to dip in and out of different stages of my career as you wish 😁

Need other instrumentation and better sound. It’s a fine interpretation. Vocals slightly thin. Need to be a tenor or a baritone. This is kind of neither and leaves me wanting for more.
@lolaskw27954 жыл бұрын
Dear Mr Beard, I don't know about your musical background or knowledge. I am a choir director (4 choirs) and voice coach and I must say: why yearn for a tenor or baritone if you can hear both qualities in one voice? Richard Hadfield has an amazing voice range, beautiful timbre, and his voice is strong and rich and not thin at all! I just found him by chance after seeing the first performance of Collabro, but when I heard they split, I immediately looked for Richard Hadfield and disregarded the rest.
