Manufacturing AAV vector-based gene therapies is complex and relies on a robust process to ensure a pure, effective end product. A high percentage of packaged AAV vectors containing the full-length genome is desired, however, capsids containing cellular debris contaminants, host cell DNA and RNA, as well as empty capsids can still be present in the final product. Genome integrity analysis of viral vector-based products enables in-depth quality assessment and sizing of the target encapsidated genome, as well as a fast and efficient way to screen for process and product related AAV impurities.
This session demonstrates the use of the 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟴𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 with high-sensitivity laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) detection as an effective tool for genome integrity analysis.
