Adenomyosis is a condition where the endometrial tissue i.e the tissue lining the inner wall of the uterus is present in the muscle layer. The women are usually of the middle age group and complain of lower abdominal pain, increasing dysmenorrhea, heavy or irregular menstrual bleeding, low back ache. USG shows a bulky uterus with heterogenous echotexture. The quality of life in women suffering from adenomyosis is often very much deteriorated.
