The Futility of Power ECC 4: 13Better is a poor but wise youth than an old but foolish king who no longer knows how to take a warning. 14For the youth has come from the prison to the kingship, though he was born poor in his own kingdom. 15I saw that all who lived and walked under the sun followed this second one, the youth who succeeded the king. 16There is no limit to all the people who were before them. Yet the successor will not be celebrated by those who come even later. This too is futile and a pursuit of the wind.

Kenya is my beloved country, and I hope to return and live there forever. However, I am saddened by the challenges Africa faces, particularly concerning taxation. It's crucial that Kenya and other African nations manage their resources wisely and avoid the pitfalls of excessive taxation and economic policies that can lead to inequity, as seen in some other countries. I dream of a Kenya where prosperity is shared, and citizens truly benefit from the wealth of their nation.

That police man crying reminded me of Asa’s lyrics in one of her songs “don’t throw stones in the market place cus it might touch one of your own.” My condolence to him tho

As I was reading I remember that same proverb in Yoruba Language, it goes _ if you throw a stone in th😢 market, it would likely hit someone from your family". It's a big lesson in being human in the was you treat other people.

It had to take the death of his brother for him to realise what he has been doing is wrong! Common sense should tell you that life is sacred and you are not God to take it. Am not sure I feel sorry for him.

@@philipbabarinde7532and what do you say about the policeman who got his hands cut off by a teargas explosion as he charged to harmless demonstrators?

These policemen are stupid. They are just full on power that they can't reason

*Larry Burkett's book, "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property, in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot. God has promoted. me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept his promises for me*

I like the way you analyzed it. That was how a great leader went down when he called the aggrieved citizens cockcroaches. The Government of the people, for the people and by the people.
