Such a shame that an amazing band like Adept have been through absolute hell and back to get this album out to their fans, only to have elitist metal-heads slating it for not being "metal" enough. This is what Adept always have and always will sound like. Don't like it? Listen to something else that you deem worthy of your metaller-than-thou time. Glad to see a big label like Napalm backing them and getting them back on their feet, even if this isn't the type of band Napalm normally go for.

The song sounds even heavier now, I like how in the part he starts speaking, he slowly rises his voice and ends up yelling the second half of the speech. is it weird that the re recording remind me of Another Year of Disaster? the vocals sounds more the tone of that album than of Secrets, and the emphasis in the production seems to be more on the melodic guitar rather than the bass. AYOD is still their best imho - so going back to a sound like that? No problem here! Regardless though, Adept has yet to release an album that I dont absolutely love. This can't drop soon enough

Going Through a very dark period in my life and this fucking band is something extraordinary, beautiful, and full with passion. I can't wait to hear their next stuff, if I make it till then. Sleepless is probably my favorite album of all time next to Undertow by Tool. I listen to whatever can possibly lift up my soul, but there has to be truth in the lyrics and emotion in the vibrations for me to actually care to listen. Of course there's many many other talented bands out there, but Adept is one of the most honest, talented, and important bands of the generation. This is what people need, you shouldn't really give a fuck if it's "not metal enough", the message behind their music should stand out and slap you in the face. Personally I think metal core/post hardcore is a very misunderstood genre, and I think it's mostly due to not enough emotion and creativity being put into the genre. Adept does everything perfect and if you're in a very rough situation, never hesitate to turn them on.
