Dan Seals was such a wonderful musician. He made a lot of memorable songs. The lead guitar was by Steve Gibson. I tried for years to replicate his sound to no avail. These guys made the soft rock genre .

Dan & John were a great duo. Dan was very successful as a country artist in the '80's. In fact he scored 10 or 12 consecutive number 1 hits on the country side in that time. My favorite of his country side was "Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)" Also of note, England Dan's brother was Jim Seals from Seals & Crofts!

I listened to this song in 1981 to prepare for a football game in the locker room in rural Colorado. Then had a pick 6 and crushed the game There is something poetic to be said for mental imaging and meditation. I went on the USMA and a great business career. God works in mysterious ways, indeed.

When my now wife of 51 years (they said we were too young) were going steady we broke up a zillion times, each giving their class back. Now as I look back I think it was more of a time of month thing. But I got so tired of exchanging back rings, when she gave me mine back I threw mine into the park across the street from her house. It only meant we may still break up in the future but to hell with my class ring. Now I want that ring back, they were made of 18 k gold. Never did find it or give much of a try. What this has to do with this song, I have no clue.
