This is wonderful. The Pointer Sisters have arguably been the only harmonising vocal group sophisticated and talented enough to be worthy of the Andrews Sisters' legacy, and unquestionably the only sibling group. Marvelous to see them with Patty.

This is legendary, a true passing of the torch. And The Pointer Sisters have not disappointed. They are by far the best "Girl Group" where all sisters sang front and had hits under their lead, No One save En Vogue and TLC and maybe the Spice Girls come close. I'm talking hits and longevity two solid decades of billboard chart topping hits, spanning genres And all members leading the group on hits.

Well said..👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🤎🤎🤎🤎The Pointer Sisters are in a class by themselves! You had to have talent back n the day,and they oozed of it. Singing all genres of music, scatting in harmony, blended into 1 voice!😚🥰🤗got to give Bonnie the props because if it wasn't for her "The Black sheep.." the world would've never known these sisters! And they certainly didn't know what they had on the inside! Singers, songwriters..it was Bonnie's vision and the sisters gravitated to that one by one. 1st June, then Anita and finally Ruth. RIP June and Bonnie 💔🥀💔🥀🎼🎼🎼🎼

I remember seeing this on TV back in '74. I recall Patti hand slapping the Pointer Sisters in turn on, "Bei mir bist du schön". The Pointers wore costumes that were reminiscent of the early '40's. This was the '70's when there was a heavy interest in the Interwar Era, its music, styles, dances, and surviving personalities. It's hard to believe that so much time has passed when you see those who're no longer here: George Burns, June Pointer, and Patti Andrews -- R.I.P.

When you combine versatility AND talent, among female (and even mixed) vocal groups the Pointer Sisters are truly in a class by themselves. Don't even mention Destiny's Child being remotely in the same league in my hearing. They've performed in the Grand Ole Opry AND the Apollo. I rest my case. This is just fantastic.

Thank you Mr. DiFlorio for uploading this video, I had never seen it until now. America owes a debt of gratitude to African Americans for single handedly inventing the first(s) true, all American Art form(s). The Blues, Ragtime and most of all, JAZZ! The rest of America, knowing a good thing when they heard it, joined in and, all together, ROCKED THE WORLD! We heard The Pointer Sisters back in the 70's and they BLEW me and my rock 'n roll friends away. We started paying more attention to older music, including big band, later and earlier. The Pointers turned us on to The Andrew Sisters and Both versions of "Bugle Boy" Rocked our world. It is so good to see them perform together, it is making me cry for joy how we all can, not just get along, but Shine and Glow. It is a mutual Homage that this represents. If ANYONE doubts that Blacks are highly intelligent, for ONE thing, they can listen to some of the abstract, highly mathematical genres of Jazz, including "Cool" Jazz, blow their little minds AWAY.God bless us and God bless America. BTW I am not Black.

The Broadway appearance that George Burns mentions in the introduction was only Patty and Maxene, because the third sister Laverne had died by then. During the run, Patty suddenly walked off the stage literally in the midst of a performance and left Maxene and her understudy to finish the show. She never spoke to Maxene again after that - a very strange ending to their career.
