Anita Pointer, Bonnie Pointer, how can we ever thank you enough for this beautiful tribute to your baby sister June? It is so touching, so moving and so long overdue. Thank you ladies and it is nice to know that together you are both still turning out beautiful music. I was just listening to June's "Too Hot To Handle" solo and not sure how I came across this, but glad I did. :-) Yes June, why'd you have to leave so soon? You are greatly missed, even by many who've never met you:-(

Marie Nurse Aesthetician I just saw that and I am shocked out of my mind!!! Oh God, not another sister snatched away from us so suddenly. I feel for Ruth and Anita but especially Anita because the two seemed to be very close lately. Anita lost a loved one 1999, 2000, 2003, 2006 and now. I pray for God's comforting arms around the Pointer family at this time.:-(

It really is a nice song, and I even believed that Anita/Bonnie wrote it, until the rap part, and then I realized June herself wrote it. Only June, lol. Only June would fake-die and then write her own eulogies. 😂 I love her so goddamned much. ❤

Listened to this song again after Bonnie passed. Made the song sound more emotional that it already is. Makes me cry. 😢💔 What a beautiful song! I cannot imagine what Anita (and the whole family ) is going through. All I want is to give her a hug. If you ever read this, mama Anita, I’ve been really thinking about you. I just wanted to remind you that you are so loved! You have been an inspiration to so many people, including younger fans, like me. I’ve said this before in one of my private messages to you, and you even told me that your younger fans are also an inspiration to you. Please please please take heart. ♥️ You’ve always been number one in my heart. I love you. Always and forever. RIP Bonnie & June. 🌹🌹

1973 was both good and bad. At the age of 8 years old, that was when I turned the TV on and saw Anita, Bonnie, June, and Ruth singing "Henry don't eat no meat". This was the first time I've heard of the Pointer Sisters. And who can forget "Yes we can can". Once I got my first taste of the Pointer Sisters, the rest was, and still is, a piece of cake. Wow!! it's been 49 years, and these ladies still look and sound incredible as always. Condolences to the family, friends, and fans around the world. Your music still makes me happy. And yes, it will always feel like June everyday. Rest in power, June and Bonnie. Miss you still.

CloudAttack Have you read Anita's book "Fairytale" yet? Anita and Fritz have done a very nice job of writing about June and their parents. They did not make a saint out of June, but we learned how hard she worked, never taking a vacation for 37 years and everyone knows how fragile June's health was. I was happy reading positive things about her instead of only her unfortunate demise. You will love reading it. For me the book was too short LOL!

In an interview with Anita shortly before her passing, she said, they were going to do another recording to include Ruth. Ruth was present at the interview, but only smiled and didn't comment on what Anita said. Then Bonnie passed and I have no idea if a remake of the tribute to June ever happened.
