Dean and Frank in mid 60's form with a medley of frankish tunes. A precursor of the 1967 and 1970 medleys. In living color on NBC. Nov. 1, 1960.

@@copperfieldpertsongs9163 it's cheaper with high return with the lackluster material we have been getting in droves.. As long as the industry continues this, forcing the garbage on the radio, we won't see beautiful and real talent in a long time. Only when it becomes more viable in their wallets will they bring back this kind of effort. Yes, there are exceptions, but they dont own the charts.

@lindashelley36355 жыл бұрын
Наталья Лифатова Well, no real jealousy of the ‘green-eyed-monster’ kind, but apparently Frank was always envious of Dean’s quick-witted humour and wonderful comic timing with a joke. Jeannie told a story about how once Dean gave him one of his jokes, but when Frank told it onstage it just fell flat. He couldn’t understand it, but Dean simply said; “Frank, you’re just not funny!” Which remark apparently got a bigger laugh than the joke did😆

On the Dean Martin Roast when they finally roasted Frank. Frank said of Dean that he had put so much fun in his life. Frank was a serious man of the two but Dean kept them both laughing.

My god that's exactly right. How sad that is. I hate to put any positive spin, but I guess we are lucky they lived late enough that we have hi fi recordings of them. Other masters of other arts such as Caruso, all there is are crackly 78's, not that Caruso is in such a high league as these giants of class, charisma, culture, etc... Love them both smoking cigarettes whilst working. I feel like our whole culture and all our greatest people are just fading away into history... because of the speed of new information, folks who have recently died like Sammy, Frank Dean etc, are no more remembered than Julius Caesar. They may as well have died 1000 years ago. This is super sad for me because I was 12 years when all 3 were still working regularly. I saw Frank live 3 times. My friends barely know what he was about.
