Thank you. I’m 57 and diagnosed with ADHD less than a month ago. I was bullied in elementary school. The onus was placed on me by my parents and teachers to stop it. I learned to mask, to hide. I’ve spent the last decade through yoga, therapy, EFT to dismantle my coping skills and heal. This podcast and others like it have been an essential part of my healing journey. Keep up the good work! Again, thank you ❤

Can someone do a pod on this topic for adults? The rejection and targeting doesn't stop after a magical age. 51 and was targeted this week by a woman who decided she didn't like me some time ago. She has created a scenario to make me look like an "incompetant and bad person". I can't sleep properly as a result and probably won't for weeks.

As an ADHD child, it seemed my behaviour was always being “corrected” - not big issues, but I’m now 74, so the social rules for girls were pretty restrictive then. But bullying feeds into that because when you are unsure of your behaviour and yourself generally, it’s very easy to be upended by bullying behaviour. Thank you for this presentation. My AHa moment was only months ago and I have done a lot of researching and soul searching. Understanding is so important! I have made peace with so many aspects of my life.

Thank you Laura and Andy, I really enjoyed this talk. I believe parents and school teaches would benefit greatly from listening to this video. It’s especially pleasing to hear some one with ADHD, talk about their experiences in growing up, and living with ADHD. Please keep these videos coming, there very much appreciated.

"Figure out a way to navigate your life to meet adult responsibilites." @30:35. Could not agree more. I am one who spent my 20's running wild before finally settling in to adult roles around 28-30 years old and definitely experienced the "maturity" lag described here. Thank you!

My doctor appointment is in 2 weeks for a possible diagnosis. Been beaten down.. beaten up all through school jk to high-school. Teachers making me feel like the scum of the earth. Failing almost every grade. 😮As an adult in still easily targeted at work. I've been asking all my life what's wrong with me 2 nervous breakdowns and diagnosis of GAD. To me, the writing is on the wall

Is it just me or is it kind of counter intuitive to have an audio cast for ADHD rather then a visual interview or visual assist display?

I personally prefer audio only so I don'tget distracted, but for some folks, yeah visual works better.
