Great and informative video! I can see that my ADHD symptoms directly "feed" the burn out cycle, like committing to too many task because I have honestly no clue how long they are going to take, but also sometimes intentially putting too much on my plate because I believe being under pressure will make me 'function better'. But in the end it always becomes too much

Thanks Simone! I'm so glad you found this helpful. I suspect our brains like the idea of all the dopamene we get from being busy and engaged. It's a trap though! Our brains don't seem to know when enough is enough!

It's great to hear about "women's" ADHD. I have the EXACT same experience that you described. It took me forever to realize that I had ADHD and I still surprise myself. I hear myself describe some behaviour that I have and then it dawns on me...that is ADHD. No wonder i've felt like this all my life.

Great video! I am feeling that I need to take a brief hiatus from school because of my burnout. I need to acquire more spoons! Haha. School just takes so much energy for me that so many other things get neglected.

I hope you've managed to replenish your spoons again to manageable levels :)

I'm still relieved when I hear other people struggle with this too. I'm learning to see it as a positive quality, that we are just incredibly enthusiastic and optimistic people. I think the key is learning to control the enthusiasm...if that's possible 😂

Problem is that , after doing things which decrease my spoons. I have no spoons left to even start the activities which increase my spoons. I hope you get me 😥😥

I get you! How is that going for you? I'm working on implementing things that increase my spoons at the beginning of the day before I start depleting them. Would that work for you?
@Bhairav157 ай бұрын
Yup. Beginning of the day is what matters. Day depends on my Morning routine. I try doing some important stuff immediately after getting up (even before getting ready) which kick start my day with full force. Can be doing one hour of some work, exercise or whatever suits you. Doing something imp immediately after rising sets the tone of the day that this day is important AS IT STARTED WITH SOMETHING IMPORTANT. And this makes me get less derailed later.
