This is such a good channel, I have ADHD and autism, and I have bullies, In fact, one of them has called me a dumbass for fidgeting with a pencil, he has harassed me for giving an a answer to a question about cells, getting called racist for telling the teacher about a student moaning and it making me and my friends uncomfortable. I do everything to see if people will like me, and I found some people who have helped me through this entire thing, They both have adhd, and they have siblings just like me, so once again, thank you for creating this channel and making these enchanting videos about what it’s like living and having adhd is like. ❤❤

My son has ADHD and HOLY SMOKES YES. I know your book will help many so people! As part of my son's diagnosis we took a course on ADHD and while I knew a lot, I learned so much. Like every educator and school administrator needs to get information like that. It's an invisible diagnosis. You're just seen as a problem. A disruptive student. So not fair. Fortunately he had wonderful teachers who worked with him but that's not always the case.

It can be exhausting for me I can only imagine being the one that has it. My other two children has accused me of making excuses for her through out the years because of her behavior but as a mom I always felt she needed protection a. She has been on medication since 5th grade which has helped but as she got older high school she found pot and started self medicating and has gone back and forth with medication. She still lives with me we still struggle. As for my BF he just was diagnosed a month ago as I had saw all the signs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this book. As I’m crying writing this. It has helped me so much and hoping my daughter and BF will open themselves to read or listen to it also. Even my husband wasn’t sure sure although I suspected he did. It has been challenging at times being diagnosed later in life but books like yours are so uplifting and kind. Things are definitely looking up thanks to the book. There are so many times I can relate to Kim. I’ve noticed my husband is doing some more silly things when he has an ADHD moment. Perhaps more forgiving of himself.

Question: I have ADHD. I am also taking my daughter next week to be evaluated. I'm pretty confident she has it too. Her case is more obvious than mine (I have inattentive type and am not hyperactive, she is both inattentive and hyperactive, symptoms that are much more noticeable, which is why I wasn't diagnosed until after law school). Would this be a good book for a 12 year old just learning about her condition? She knows a little. I've always talked openly about it and she knows I suspect she has it and why and she watches KZbinrs with it sometimes (including you sometimes, mostly your music). But would this book be good for her, or is the target audience older? Thanks for all you do.

@@AliciaElnagger I watch that channel a lot. My daughter doesn't like it that much. It is geared toward a little older, high school and into adulthood. His daughter has taken to rigid scheduling as a strategy which has worked very well for her. A little too well, he's talking to her about scheduling in some unscheduled time into her schedule. Anyway (tangent, sorry) he came up to me to tell me about it wearing an ADHD shirt. Then another father who also has it noticed the shirt and came over to talk to us both about it. We’ll put. I hate the name. There are some crazy superpowers that I’m so proud of and I’m not ashamed to be different. I use to mention it to people often because I felt like there was nothing to be ashamed of. I still feel that way but I do mention it less than I used to because when people/coworkers know then everything gets noticed and chalked up to me having ADHD. Like “normal” busy people don’t set things down somewhere and forget where they put it or get distracted. I mention it less now because I feel like when people are well aware that I have ADHD then they almost keep an unspoken tally of everything i do and the label ends up hurting me, when really I’m also doing some pretty awesome things that would get more recognition if I weren’t being judged for silly things.
