You have a talent of putting to song what we are thinking. Between the day after Christmas and February, has always felt like a weird time warp for me. The beginning of the year really feels like it starts in March. February is my birthday month and that month always feels like a bleep. Ground Hog's Day, Valentine's Day, my B-day, Presidents Day and it's gone. At least I have the rest of the year to process and accept how old I am before being traumatized again by my own birthday next year.

A sure-fire way to feel like January flew by is to have someone in your life with a birthday the first few days of February. My husband is a groundhog baby, Feb 2, and I can't believe January is almost over. On a good note, if he sees his shadow, which he always does, he gets 6 more weeks of birthday cake. Take that Punxsutawney Phil! You two are a blessing to each other and everyone whose life you touch. Thank you.

Everyone is saying it feels like time in general had been speeding up. However this January was LONG!!! This was for sure the longest January of my life as far as it felt. Not depressed or anything but literally nothing to look forward to other than wanting to spend time praying. That was nice. I feel like the rest of the time really was spent wondering where has time gone. The past four years (almost 5!!!) were a blur. I literally remember all the other distinct years before 2020, if anything I literally feel we are getting to what was meant to be 2021, but that still feels 11 months away.

In Australia January seems to go by super fast, especially if you have school aged children. You come back from where ever you went over Christmas/New years, have a couple of days at home then all of a sudden you realise it's Feb next week and back to school time and last year's school uniforms don't fit, you can't find where the lunch boxes and drink bottles ended up and you are going to have to try to get a day off work to go school shoe shopping and all the kids want to do is one last trip to the beach or the pool or camping before school goes back.
