Good tone here - that Pearl® PMT-series hex tom (PMT-668024? I'm guessing it from the proportions) sounds a timbale part convincingly, and the FFX-1412 sounds spot-on as well. Suppose we have a quintet with two FFX-1412's, a PMT-668024 hex tom, a TDP-1812 euphonium drum (HBCU-style, although Pearl® markets it as a tenor for pipe and drum corps), and a PBD-2814 bass drum; each with appropriate carrier or stand. I reckon that mght make for a larger-scale BYOS project. Taker-upper or not?

I personal don't like any of Pearl drumsets, I would literally jump at the oppertunity to have anything else, Yamha, DW, Tama, Mapex, etc but if someone offered me a Pearl set, I would pass, i've never liked their sound unless heavily studio edited.
