I used to joke before the birth of my child that crying is easy, I'll just wear noise cancelling headphones. In all seriousness I recommend earplugs, (I quite like the Loop ones) or ear buds. Just to dull the intensity, and don't get sensory overload.

So I live in the south. I’m neurodivergent. I have never had another person talk about some of the things she touched on 🥲 Your show makes such a difference 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Familiar Blindness is SO interesting!!!🧐 and I think it goes both ways too…🤔 As a child you sometimes see that your parents struggle with the same things that you struggle with and you assume that everyone struggles with these things and that you are inadequate when you can’t do it the way you are supposed to.😢

I try to do mindfulness meditation with the family. The book 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels has some simple exercise I modify and we practice sometimes. It helps to break that generational chain of stress responding.

I have a 2 year old girl, honestly not even sure I would have ever figured out my ADHD if it wasn't for her 😂
