I’ve been a young casual viewer for the past couple of years from the US but your father really helped shape my worldview on systems thinking and cybernetics. I loved how he presented the big picture uniquely in a society that desperately needs that vision. I’ve been meaning to get into his more recent work and this vid popped up. Sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Mr. Javier Livas. His ideas will def live on 🙏

I had planned for him to speak to a small group of young Cyberneticians before I found out about the passing. His book, 'The Cybernetic State' - which he sent for free when I was a poor undergraduate, is now going to be a cornerstone of my PhD! I owe you so much for that, Javier, but I will never get a chance to repay you. I will make sure your legacy will live on! Much love to the family, and thank you, Daniel Livas for your video.

I m so sorry to hear that Javier, whom I may call a likeminded friend has passed. I started to notice that he did not reply to my whatsapp messages anymore. And now, I watched your announcement... If you are interesed, I recorded a zoom conversation that I had with him about 4 years ago. You can find it on my youtube channel. My condoleances (a bit late). I m sad that people just don't seem to grasp the significance of his work on cybernetics, which I will be continuing, but without him. I ll miss him. Arend
