hi Alex, i really like your measuring each running shoe's durometer. i think it would be a good idea to also measure the softness of the midsole after putting the shoe in the freezer for 10 minutes to simulate how hard the midsole gets in winter. React for instance gets really hard in the winter.

This will work for alot of people who don' t like the new generation of high-stack shoes. It' s a good looking shoe but personally not too excited about it, kind of reminds me of a deluxe SL20 maybe? I hope the Boston 10 will release very soon though, seems like it' s already out in Australia.
@AlexFilitti3 жыл бұрын
It can be seen as a deluxe SL20 (although the 10€ price difference makes it a super easy call in my opinion), or as a trainer for people racing in the Adizero Pro. Then my guess is that the Boston will be the trainer for people racing in the Adios Pro. We tend to see more and more of these trainer/racer couples (Saucony, Asics, Nike). And the Prime X will then be an alphafly "standalone" type of shoe (most likely WA non-legal but well that does not matter for us mortals). What do you think? Heard Boston 10 is due June 16 but not sure if that's for the EU.

Hey! I was curious to read your thoughts. We discussed this in the past but I agree one should have such a shoe in their rotation to avoid running all the time on higher stacks like the trend goes nowadays. But I don't think it is that unforgiving (well compared to those high stacks yes, but I expected something less friendly)
@QronoZ7133 жыл бұрын
@@AlexFilitti Yeah, totally agree. When I said unforgiving, I meant that it requires more active running posture and leg/foot work to feel good. You can't really relax into the shoe as like a Glycerin, Triumph or Invincible. At least, that's my view! I used adios 6 for intervals today, wow.... Excellent, one of the best tempo rides I've felt in a long time. I'd take the adios 6 above most shoes, barring VF, for a 5-10K I think. It really felt great between 3:20-3:00 / km.

Hi Bryan, Thanks a lot for stopping by and for your comment. This and the Boston may be solid options for a trainer (but actually even racer) with Lightstrike Pro at a lower pricepoint than the Pro. It mostly comes down to your preferences in terms of stack height and your training/racing goals - also, but this is a guess, i feel like the boston will me softer/bouncier because of more Lightstrike pro in the midsole. Hope this helps, let us know which one you'll get :-)
@mikegamber85613 жыл бұрын
Awesome drone footage, so jealous where you get to run. If it’s a single layer mesh upper then all the weight must come from midsole and outsole. Boost was heavy as well so not sure what was gained by switching it out. Great job as always Alex well done! The Hyperion Tempo is a 44 on the durometer and the lightstrike is softer then that so is it responsive? I like the midsole of the Hyperion Tempo so it would be likely this shoe would work really nicely. Would you say it’s more like the Hyperion Tempo or the Freedom 4? Thanks as always💪 onward and upward to 2,000!!!!!
@AlexFilitti3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mike, the location is great indeed especially early morning when there's nobody there (it's a "bike highway" so later in the day it gets more crowded). I was surprised by the low durometer score but it's maybe also a question of heterogeneous repartition of the foam and it makes it softer on the outer parts. No sure. But DNA flash on the hyperion tempo is a touch more responsive (than lightstrike that is, probably less so than lightstrike pro). It's less friendly than the hyperion tempo and a touch firmer and less forgiving than the freedom 4. But the freedom is a good comparison point for this one. Thanks for tuning in and yes on our way to 2000 ;-))

@@michaelschmidt8170 okay, i see. I can help you if you're interested. The fit is more tts than rebel v2, i found that shoe wide enough but a bit short in my regular size. The midfoot/heel in the adios is medium/slim (like a pegasus) and the forefoot is quite accommodating. It has very high volume, one of the highest toeboxes I've had honestly. If you've had adidas boston or adios before, expect a wider more volumous toebox. Heel area is slim but incredibly well done.
@AlexFilitti3 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, no worries at all, it's my fault not adding the chapters to the video like I usually do. Hi Alex great job! I do not understand Adidas marketing, I mean so many models of shoes, after many years with boost foam now there's lightstrike ( used for basketball before ). I do not find innovation as other brands. Great outsole. Which shoe is similar to this one on your opinion?

Hi Daniele! I think they're trying to offer what people are seeing in other brands (higher stacks, carbon plates/rids, etc). Not sure yet because I haven't tried the rest of the lineup but I think there's still some cool innovation in the upcoming models (cut out outsoles on the Boston, pro, prime for instance, new pattern on the outsole).
