As long as I’ve followed you, never seen such a grin and enthusiasm about a shoe. Looks like Adidas got a winner here. I dig the design and especially that touch of suede. I have the Adios 4 and used that on the track for speed work. I’m a bit on the heavier side of a runner and looking to the Boston 10 for a trainer. Though I be curious to give the Adios 6 a try on my next trip to the shoe store.

Took mine out today for their initial run. I did some 400s on a gravel track, then a longish cool down. Really impressed with these out of the box: They look good, felt good walking in them, and fits like a glove and the feet don't have to work hard (torsion) while running . Definitely an improvement on the previous 2 iterations. Still felt lowish to the ground for me, so good confidence in my gait cycle and excellent traction (as with previous iterations). The closest shoe it feels like (to me) is the Hyperion Tempo: the landing feels the same in both as well as the foam, and like the Tempo, Adios 6 just wants you to push harder. If carbon plated shoes didn't exist, I would wear the Adios 6 for all race distances.

Of the shoes you compared today, I only have the Rebel 2. I’m enjoying it very much but agree 100% that even though it doesn’t cause me to pronate abnormally, it’s not a shoe I’d want to use for very high mileage. With its super flexibility it’s not supportive or stable enough for that even though I have pretty strong ankles. Because of that, it’s less versatile than I suspect the Adios 6 will be. The Boston 9 is extremely versatile and I’m starting to envision the Adios 6 as an improved Boston 9 (more cushion for sure). Why do people react to the torsion plate? It sounds bad but for one thing it’s a stabilizing feature, and for another it gives snappiness to the shoe for faster paces. It’s in the much beloved Boston 9 and you don’t actually “feel” it. The shoe is very neutral and plenty flexible where a neutral shoe should be. Looking forward to the rest of the comparisons! Especially when you get to my other shoes: Endo Speed, Hyperion Tempo, and of course Boston 9. Won’t count Glycerin 19’s. I bought them expressly for my very longest training runs for my Oct. marathon cycle, and probably recovery afterward. Cheers, Martha

How does Adios 6 compare to Boston 9? Boston 9 can do it all for me (easy, speed and even 23 mile long runs). To me, the Boston 9 was really the only shoe able to go those long miles and still good ground feel for that sports car handling. The largest 12.5 they do that have tried isn’t quiet long enough for me but found enough in them in my own review to see would be good. A rather different feeling Adios to the earlier versions and indeed the Adios 1 (boost version that is) that was my road race “flat” until few years ago. You never would compare that Adios with your entire line up as certainly was not a daily trainer.
