I buy pair of this shoes 3 day before my target HM race , I brake my record for almost 3 mins , from 1:23:15 to 1:20:49 (course was around 100m longer) . I haven't ever wear super shoes (regullary I used ultraboost or solar glide/boost) . First experiance was amazing. I would say that this shoes gives me around 1min in HM race. I can highly recomend it!

Having the Vaporfly (both 1 & 2) and the alphafly, I was very excited to try these. They simply do not convince me, I will keep using them for workouts and some long runs but I had to change the lacing from under to over in order to get some sort of lockdown. The upper is very nice indeed but to me it does not give me that pop that the aforementioned shoes do. Even the endorphin speed feels so much better and faster than these. Love the channel guys!

I've also got a size up btw. Usually i go for 43-43,5 for Adidas shoes. But this was the first one where it was to tight for me in the midfoot. I don't have extremely wide feet, but wider then usual and it hurt in my normal size. The shoe is narrow. So i got size 44, and so it was a bit longer then usual but it actually ran more stable from my perspective then the Adios Pro 1, which i had in my normal size. And i think that's due to the extra length.

Prices always interesting in different regions….here (Australia) the local non-sale prices are vaporfly 2 $310, RC Elite 2 $320, Metaspeed sky $330, adios pro 2 $360, alpha fly $375. At those prices the Adios pro 2 just doesn’t get a look in for me.
@TheRunTesters3 жыл бұрын
Hi James, that's really interesting that the Adios Pro 2 come in more expensive. Given those prices Vaporfly 2 would probably be top of our list. Wonder if Adidas isn't shipping as much volume in Aus so it costs more to distribute? Nike maybe has a larger overall market there perhaps?
@jamesridley79253 жыл бұрын
These days when I run and there is another runner coming toward me, first thing I do is check out what runners they are wearing! For sure Nike has more market share here, yet whenever I order from their online store, it comes via eshopworld in Belgium. Hands down their distribution network is better than any other brand in my experience. I am lucky enough to have the adios pro 1 in screaming orange colourway and as good a shoe as it is, I still prefer my vapors 😃. Love the channel guys, keep up the great work.

From my personal experience the Adios Pro 1 (OG) is the faster and better shoe. You can see that many Adidas runners still prefer V1 over V2 in races

Hi Leon, (Kieran here), I think I tend to agree. For me it's a lot about the comfort overall. Pro 1 just feels better on the foot.
@taylor1212eminem3 жыл бұрын
I feel that v1 is a better long distance cruiser with a more natural feeling upper that you can’t feel. v2 feels way snappier but slightly softer foam. Feels like I’m just lightly tapping the ground with the v2 being more on the forefoot. The v1 sinks you into a deeper heel to toe stride.

Mine were nearly a full size larger than my prior Adidas shoes (adidas Men's Terrex Speed Ultra, which were true to size). I wear an 8-8.5. I got 7.5 of these, and they're still about .25 sizes too big. Maybe mis-tagged? But, I also first purchased size 8. And they were definitely too big. Also, they don't have the best arch support. So, I stuck in my old adidas Men's Terrex Speed Ultra insoles on top of the built-in insoles. They still have a high toe box, and give me hot spots on the bottoms my big toes on both feet. So, maybe I should have bought a full size smaller than normal. Is that normal for race-day shoes? Glad I've put some miles on them in advance to learn this and to get familiar with them. I've put about 26 miles on them so far. At least they fit better than my Boston 11s. Basically, I absolutely loved my white and black adidas Men's Terrex Speed Ultra. I haven't been able to find a better pair of shoes.

Hard to say, I've (Nick) got maybe 180-200km-ish on the Pro 1 from what I can remember and feels just as good atm. Will try and update down the line but we rarely get to fully max out a shoe with all the testing of new releases! I'd expect them to last a fair while though, 400km+, but it's guesswork.

Generally I (Nick) would say that if you have the Vaporfly, there's little need to pick up another carbon racing shoe, especially as you also have another great one in the Saucony. The Adios Pro 2 is good but I still prefer the Vaporfly myself, and even if you did like the Adios Pro more it would be very close I expect.

Hi. I'm looking to buy these but have heard differing views on the sizing. I'm usually a (UK) Size 10 in Nike and Asics, but had to buy a Size 11 a couple of years ago when I bought Adidas Bostons. Would you recommend I get a size 11 in these as per my other Adidas, or stick to a size 10 as per my Nike shoes? Thanks :)
@TheRunTesters3 жыл бұрын
I'd (Nick) say that the Adios Pro 2 has a much more 'normal' size than the old Bostons used to (I used to go up a half size at least in them too). I'd say you'll most likely be OK in the size you wear with other brands, that's what I found to be fine with the Pro 2.

The inconvenient truth is that supershoes only really work for elite guys and not even all of them (basically East Africans and Japanese). But the average guy is not running faster than 10, 20 or even 30 years ago... so while a £180 shoe might be cheap in the current distorted market one can probably get to the same results using, say, a Floatride Energy on sale at 50 quids... food for thought. Good review though... 🙂

In what way do supershoes only work for elite runners? This goes against my personal experience, sub-elites, KZbinrs and studies..
@TheRunTesters3 жыл бұрын
It’s an interesting idea but I (Nick) would love to know what your inconvenient truth is based on, since it seems to contradict all available evidence?
@TheRunTesters3 жыл бұрын
We spoke to a researched looking into this exact question right now. We're hoping to share the findings when they're in. But there's plenty of anecdotal evidence out there to suggest non elites benefit too.
@FarisSalman3 жыл бұрын
I think I get where this 'inconvenient truth' came from. I'm assuming the 'gain' obtained from the shoes, 1-4% (or along that range) performance. But you're forgetting about another thing these super shoe provide the user other than performance uplift, is that how your feet in not as beaten compared to, Energy v3, for example. Of course I can, say, use Energy v3 for threshold repeats @ 3:30 min/km, whereas this maybe like tempo pace for elite runners or they can do this in, say, Rebel v2. But my leg is 'happier' after these session when I use AAAPro2. *I* am happier and can push harder when I use these kind of shoes. These factor is not necessarily accounted in the 4% (or whatever percentage the mechanical assistance provide the wearer).
@drbarx Жыл бұрын
I agree completely. I have supershoes and yet I am still slower than I was when I was 20 years younger. Clearly they don't work.
