I am so glad Noah said it’s different this year because he is not depressed. I remember reading about his struggles with depression a couple of years ago. It’s easy to see these world class athletes as super humans so I am glad to see one of the brightest stars openly talking about his mental health. Kudos to you Noah. Rooting for you in Paris!

@tomsmithtom5-yf6ig7 ай бұрын
He is getting there to a new 200m WR. To go under 19.19, all it takes is to keep training, motivation, few extra wind 0.5+m/s /1.0+m/s, a supercharged performance on the 200m final. Noah seems much more explosive than Michael Johnson who did 19.32 about 28 years ago. So, 28 years difference in training and nutrition can surely push 19.32 down to 19.16 or something. It's hard to break 19.19 but not humanly impossible , such as a Sub-19.00. And remember, Bolt did not even push super hard before the finish line in all WR 9.58, in 9.69 and in 19.19. A super push and lean forward before the finish could chip away a few centi-seconds. He just needs to combine a sub 9.7 starting 100, with a sub 9.5 finishing 100, so it's a wrap, new WR !! Sub 9.7 + sub 9.5 = Sub 19.2

He ran sub 10 on the curve and also down the straight for 1919, who running today can do that?

If he ran the 100m at that same speed, he would've ran 9.61. If he maintained that speed at the 200m he would've ran 19.21. Folks that is what that 14.41 secs mean
@Genebaket7 ай бұрын
Also if he maintained that same speed to the 400 meters he would have run 38.5 seconds, or 1:17 for the 800 meters. He could become the worlds best athlete all the way to the marathon🤣🤣
@sanchezking-blake71687 ай бұрын
@@Genebaket You tried to widely apply my logic beyond the scope that I presented. Here is the thing. The 400m and 800m are not sprinting events and as such, the 'maintaining speed' argument wouldn't apply because of those events being middle distances hence an endurance factor. The point still remains that if he was able to translate that speed in the 150m to the other two sprinting events he will be in the neighborhood of the 100m and 200m WRs.
