Why is the weight of the boot a 'con'? This would only be the case if a much lighter boot gave you some form of advantage, which if we're being honest, is all marketing hype anyway.

Henry Jones Jnr. It is a con in the modern soccer boot market as there are tons of options that are much lighter. Yes, lighter shoes won't make you run faster, nobody said that, but the weight of the boot does have an impact on the overall feel. I personally prefer a boot with a little more weight to it, but at the same time, if Adidas had a way of making the Copa Mundial lighter, without changing the comfort and overall design, I think the vast majority of people would consider that to be a positive change.

It is the best shoe period. I tried a number of them and they all feel like modern day Japanese cars, beautiful and brittle. The Copa Mundial is like the the 70's BMW 2000. Sexy, durable and immensely loyal. I dusted off my 15 Years old Copa Mundial and started wearing those rather than buying any new model garbage.

Got a pair today and gotta say they are the first pair of boots I've tried on that fit perfect. They fit great for my wider feet and I reckon they will stretch out even more. Even ended up going down a 1/2 Size. The price on these is quite reasonable at €120 , about $120 or so.

Great video and Boots like these are always better than modern boots because the Kangaroo leather gives great protection for example in a Fifty Fifty Tackle someone with say Hypervenom they will get injured way easier,

fausto graham The World Cup version is a soft ground boot. They'll perform better on soft ground than the Copa Mundial, which is a firm ground shoe.

I'm definitely going to consider these as i love white boots but i have 2 questions 1. I saw your tongue modification video, do you have to sew another stitch or can you just cut off above the stitch that links the flap over portion of the tongue? 2. I have really wide feet and i have not tried a pair of copa's but i think i will like them once i try them on. Should i take your advice and go a full size down? I don't know, i feel a full size might be too much maybe half a size down would work better. This may be a personal preference issue but as i said i have not ever tried on a pair of these even in a store or is a full size down like the minimum and actually is a best fit and I'm pretty sure my foot is done growing cuz I'm 18.

K Murph If you don't stitch the seam closed, there's a possibility that the backing material might separate from the tongue. I would definitely go a full size down. If they don't fit snug from out of the box, you run the risk of the boots over stretching.

If you train, then the weight on those shoes or any other that weigh the same, should not be an issue. Its a good shoe over all and the price is about right.

you might even need an 11. I try to go with Euro sizes when ordering shoes in general as this is more accurate as its more accurate. Hope this helped. Just my opinion.
