Have both. Like both for different reasons. Neither are a racer to me. Streakfly for shorter intervals due to ground feel. Takumi for tempos or longer intervals

❤ Love the Liberate Nitro V1's I keep getting them because they pretty much cost nothing. They are my inexpensive training workout shoe I keep buying in contrast to my more expensive race and super shoes to keep those fresh.

Not the biggest Nike fan myself. I have the Takumi sen 9 in 11.5 and it comes in under 8oz. I've used it for a handful of workouts. Not sure I want to use it for my goal 10k race or not. I'll probably need to try a 5k trial and see how it feels.

Taksumi sen 9 for me and I just like the look of adidas shoes!

Great video, would the Takumi be your first choice for a 5k race or would you choose something like the vaporfly or something else
@DailyMemes4You24-7 Жыл бұрын
If it matters my 5k pb is 17 minutes

Id would be a contender for sure! But I’d probably still choose the vaporfly or the endorphin elite as I do find them to be the fastest!

I have TS8. I liked the shoe so much that I have 3 pairs (at 50-60% discounts). I mainly use them on track for speed workouts and track surface is highly abrasive. So, durability wise the first pair will probably have to be replaced before hitting 200 miles as the thin rubber in the heel is wearing out fast and when I get tired my gait is not clean. I tried StreakFly at Nike store. There is bounce but there was no directionality of that bounce. The shoe really needed more than mid-foot shank. I wish Nike created a version of this shoe with a nylon plate or carbon infused fiber plate (maintaining the flexibility to some extend instead of fully rigid carbon plate)

I haven’t used mine on a track yet but can imagine they must be good on there 👍 Totally understand what you’re saying about the Streakfly… I must admit they work well for me and the midfoot shank stabilises enough but doesn’t interfere… but it would be interesting to see a pair with a full nylon plate… I think they’d need to put another 2/3mm foam in the shoe to sandwich it in well

200 miles = 320km? uf too low.....so you're paying more price/distance ratio.
@TolunayOrkun Жыл бұрын
@@tadejdanev5030 Yeah the rubber in the heel is very thin, it will not survive too long. If they had used the classic Continental Rubber outsole like they used in forefoot of the shoe it would last better. They built these shoes for 5k/10k races. Not for training use like I do use. The primary goal was making them as light as possible and yes, they are one of my lightest shoes for speed workouts. But that said, the Lightstrike Pro foam is resilient so it will not trash like ZoomX would be so you can continue to run a bit more after the rubber is gone. I got my pairs at 50-60% discount. So, I am not worried about price/distance ratio that much.

I use the TS8 on road an track lasts for over 650 km already and stll running like first go. Very little abrassion, im midfoot/forefootstriker. Have one more pair and will go for 10 next time. I use streakfly for road, trails etc like the lightness and flexibility. Will last less long than TS8 but its sodamn good in not soaked/dry forests and trails

Hi Andy … which one for a 10k ? I still have my VF2 ( which I don’t really like because I don’t feel the bounce lol) and my Adios pro2 in which I did my 10K PB in 2021 (38’35) …🤔… great battle 👏👏👏🙏🇫🇷

Hey Andy, could it be down to the lightstrike pro softening after 110 miles? I have done over 100 miles in my TS8 and no issues. But I am more of a heel striker when I get tired.

Yeah could be mate! I’ll keep trying them to see if it’s just fatigue at the end of a sesh or if it’s a permanent change 😬

In my experience the Streakfly is more fun than the Takumi Sen 9. I really enjoy training in the Streakfly but the Takumi does the job with less joy.
